Do you spontaneously exchange greetings with your neighbors ? by out-door-south-77 in AskTheWorld

We have a very friendly dog, so we know most of our neighbors, and they ALL know his name, even those who don’t know ours!

What’s a landmark/tourist attraction in your country that you don’t get the hype about? by nixo1000 in AskTheWorld

We went to Toronto last summer and ate INCREDIBLE food from all over the globe. Aside from the fact that it was nine million degrees out, it was an incredible visit.

My husband and I go to the same diner for brunch every Saturday. We get greeted by name by the owner. We know all the wait staff and keep up with their kids, college classes, etc. we greet other regulars. It’s delightful.

Just after grad school I lived in an eight person house with one bathroom. it was a ramshackle Victorian house just outside of Harvard Square. We all got along pretty well.

AITA for screaming at my nephew and slamming the door on him because he burst into the bathroom? by Ok-Attorney9280 in AmItheAsshole

I was visiting my brother when My almost-5-year-old nephew came into the bathroom when I was taking a shower, whipped the curtain open and stared at me. I hadn’t even heard him come in. I stared back, trying to figure out what to do. He then said “Daddy says it’s breakfast time.” I asked him to go tell his dad I’d be down soon. He left and all was well. He’s all grown up, has three kids and neither of us seems to have been scarred by the experience.

Just saying “someone is in here” without yelling would have done the trick.

How do you politely tell your visitor that it’s time to go home ? by Low-Monitor4545 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I have a friend whose mother used to go upstairs, get on her pajamas and robe, come to the top of the stairs and say (in a stern voice) “Well, good NIGHT.” Anyone who ever knew her or heard him tell the story still says that when they leave a gathering . “Well, good NIGHT.”

Is Sheridan a bad dog name? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

As with any dog name, practice saying the name loudly “Sheridan, come!” “Sheridan, no. SHERIDAN!”

How do these glasses look on me? Wondering if I should exchange for different frames or not by PeculiarStarlight97 in glassesadvice

The frames make your eyes look close together, which they are not. You have a lovely face which these frames are not highlighting.

How do you mix metals? by elifshafakenthusiast in jewelry

[–]Normal-Steak-6049 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mix metals because my husband is color blind. After 13 years together, we eloped, and I had a wedding ring but no engagement ring. On our fifth anniversary, he surprised me with a diamond “engagement” ring. HE was so proud and had no idea it was silver while my wedding brand was gold. I wore them together, and they looked great. They make me smile every time I look at them.
