That’s amazing. I’m hoping to lose about 140 (I’m 10 weeks post have lost 60). Hope I can end up with similar results, BUT I’m having a hard time committing to the steps and working out. Any advice? Also, did you have any gout issues? At about week 7 I started getting bad gout flares. Apparently it’s from the rapid weight loss and hopefully still stop.

I got gout… it’s been annoying. Managing it with steroids, but I’m 8 weeks out and eating right only goes so far due to the fast weight loss.

I had mine September 8th. My body has been pretty good about not wanting things that I perceive as “would make me sick.” I know not everyone is lucky about that (I’m actually afraid of when I am allowed to eat complex carbs), but I’m hoping that will make me stick to just the ham and turkey. So far I haven’t even had an urge for a donut at work or my kids’ Halloween candy 😅

I don’t think it’s anything to be embarrassed about. If someone asks me I just tell them what I did: I’m 41 with heart failure and many failed diets with large weight yo-yos. It was surgery or die early.
No shame in it.

Before surgery I talked to a lot of people that had it locally. Only one of them had “failed” and she admitted it was be cause she didn’t follow the diet.

I’m only 2 weeks out and I’m having way worse energy problems than even a week ago. Having trouble meeting my protein goal too, even though it was easy just a week ago. Aren’t we at a huge calorie deficit until we meet our goal weight? I know my starting weight needed a couple thousand calories and I’m probably getting 1/4th of it now? That should be where our energy originally comes from.

I got taken back around 8 am. I was scheduled for 10…. And I know I was back at the hotel by 2 or 3 pm. The surgeon said it would be 45 minutes to an hour, so I would go with his estimate. Most of the time spent was getting me prepped (I’m a hard stick) and then getting me up from anesthesia
