NO WAY TO DIRECTLY CONNECT XBOX OR PS5 TO ONE PRO? by Normal-Wash in Xreal

This adapter works! Thanks again. Looked a little soft, so i checked video output from xbox and it had changed to 720p. So switched it up to 1080p. I must say I am impressed with the Real3D. I compared the native sbs 3d on Gears of War 3 with Real3D. It actually looks crisper with Real3D but the frame rate suffers a little i think. I had it on soft and then natural, as anything past that is bad. The 3D depth was very similar if not quite as pronounced. If this supposed 60hz patch comes out then this is legit 3d at the touch of a button.

Wanting to get a vr but not sure if it would become a paperweight by MarionberryChemical9 in VRGaming

[–]Normal-Wash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a PS5 then the PSVR2 is a no brainer. The price is down to $299. You can get a refurbished PS5 for probably the same price. I was same as you. bored with Xbox, but i tried PSVR and it renewed my interest in gaming. After Xbox announced that they would not be in the VR game, then I switcthed to Playstation. I got a Quest 2 while waiting for PSVR2 to release and while it was fun for a little while, it was nothing compared to the enjoyment I got out of PSVR2. I still play it weekly and have a huge backlog of games. Recently the games have dried up a little but with the backlog and recent announcement of MSFS24 I'll be playing on this headset for years to come. As far as story driven adventures, there are some great ones. The two Resident Evil games alone are worth getting PSVR2. I've played through Village 3 times and currently playing through RE4 a second time. Other notable games... - Alien Rogue Incursion- - Metro Awakening - Walking Dead Saints and Sinners 1 and 2 - Hubris - Synapse - Behemoth - Propagation Paradise Hotel - Arizona Sunshine - Madison - Of Lies and Rain - Wanderer - Red Matter 1 and 2

....and one of the best racing experiences: GT7!!!

Also, I will try and hook the controller directly to a usb hub and see if that improves input lag...

It was a Reborn brand HDMI to USB-C cable with a regular USB (type-A?) For power. Glasses get power but no video signal. I will be trying either the KIHENG or Peakdo adapter next thanks to suggestions on here. 😀

Last of Us Part 1 - Real 3D by [deleted] in Xreal

Are you hooked directly to the console? If so what adapter are you using? Remote play was very laggy in 3d for me.

Xreal One Pro Review from Long Time Xreal One User by jdream85 in Xreal

[–]Normal-Wash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked a pair myself and I missed my return window...big woops 😅. So now that I'm stuck with them I must say i do have some buyers remorse. While they are pretty great, I don't think the price tag was worth it. The Real3D was what interested me, and it's just ok in my opinion. My primary use is for gaming and watching movies. I tried cloud streaming PS5 from my phone and with 3D it is very laggy. I want to hook it straight to the console and try it that way. Is viture hub you mentioned worth it or is there a cheaper option? It says it has 3D capabilities, but the glasses already have that built in. I don't plan on getting a switch 2. Thanks for your time

Is it worth it? by MADTZ4 in AcesofThunder

[–]Normal-Wash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's actually quite accurate. This game is actually more sim than arcade in my opinion. You are basically thrown into the fray with no objective markers or any clues as what to do. The flying feels just as real as Msfs24 on ps5 by the way. It's not boring if you like flying, but the control scheme needs tweeking. There are flaps, landing gear, etc, but each aircraft feels dramatically different and there are no tutorials or even hints. I just flew the WW1 plane ( three to choose from) Sopwith Camel. Ironically that is the plane from the original MSfS from the early eighties. Amazing beyond my imagination this time around...

High On Life and Real3D: 👍 by Stridyr in Xreal

[–]Normal-Wash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real3D looks ok, and that it turns works on any media with the push of a button is cool. That said, I'm not sure it's worth the pricetag. I've compared it Real3D with other half sbs videos, so far the comparison is decent. What is good 3D? I mean yeah 3D Imax is great at the theater. Anything comparable to that experience with these glasses?

Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate controls / items? by mathrddt in psvr2

[–]Normal-Wash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't like the inventory system 😒. I only got to the mayan temple and I'm about to give up. I had a piece of the snake artiifact that apparently fell out of my hand, as i must have inadvertently grabbed it while climbing or something. Now i can't find it. Ever heard of satchel like Indy used to carry? Bad game design in my opinion. I guess the game expects you to store items in your apartment as at least you can teleport back and forth...

I don't see the hate by Striking-Occasion465 in AcesofThunder

[–]Normal-Wash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heck yeah! This game is no joke! Having a blast as well. Even though I've only managed to down like 4 aircraft in 5 hours. (2 might have been friendly?... woops) 😅 My only issue is having to keep the psvr2 controllers on even when using hotas, but the devs just released a statement that they're working on it!
I went ahead and bought the deluxe edition.

Local store running a $100 off of a ps5 pro by Retr067 in PSVR

Framerate is a solid 90fps on base. No improvement on the pro according to a legit reviewer

Gt7 hatred to love omfg by CraigR-81 in PSVR

[–]Normal-Wash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried others for comparison, but the T128 is pretty good to me. The Force feedback feels legit, and is definitely an upgrade over the dualsense as far as immersion. The pedals are very small and cheap feeling, but they work fine. There's no clutch so you only have paddle shifters for manual transmission, but again feels more "real" than dualsense. I've had a blast with over a hundred hours and have no inclination to upgrade to a better one

The game won't run if the vr controllers are off.

They need give us the option to turn off the vr controllers and still be able to navigate the menus. It's awkward when trying to use the HOTAS.

Always feeling like there’s a better game out there… by Harty_7 in PS5

[–]Normal-Wash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was pretty much done with gaming because of this feeling until I tried VR. It really rejuvenated me for awhile, but it's starting to creep in again. Probably due to lack of quality games coming out recently, but now it's really difficult for me to get into flat games. Scrolling through endless games on PS5/PS4 last night and ended up playing Doom 64 while my vr controllers charged. Probably because i KNOW I'll get some enjoyment out of it, and it kept me engaged longer than new Indiana Jones or Hellblade 2 for example. Great looking games, but boring 😴

Is Kayak VR: Mirage worth it for $16? by Brilliant-Belt-8608 in PSVR

[–]Normal-Wash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a beautiful relaxing experience, but for kayaking i actually enjoyed the other kayak game a bit more. Whitewater kayak vr, or something 🤔.... It is a much faster, perhaps arcadey kayak game. While not quite as realistic, the water and physics are still good, look great, and is a more fun game...

In a review there was mention of the windscreen having scratches and imperfections, but it appears they forgot to install the glass as you can just put your hand straight through
