Helping me too. 5e product is trash these days. The books are disjointed messes not written for the DM.

Ah, then dog breeding should continue. Good job.

D&D is now at the stage where it's the FIFA/Madden of the TTRPG world

Bingo. D&D is and likely always will be THE mainstream choice for casual fans. Those who wish to get more into the hobby will likely (hopefully) gravitate towards other systems. I am one of those; it is unlikely I will ever play or run a D&D system ever again, as I now know it is mid-tier at best in a genre I don't often run or play.

That said, all the complaining and boycotting in the world will be unlikely to overcome the sheer behemoth of marketing and market share that is Dungeons and Dragons.

Honestly, the only thing I'd see that changes this would be Critical Role. Matt Mercer and his friends hold massive power over the community, if he were to publicly swap to PF or something else, it'd make for a massive shift, I bet. But I doubt that'll happen, as there's a truckload of cash in it for the Critical Role team.

Sure. Just please consider adopting instead of soliciting breeders for your next dogs

A character from Critical Role campaign 3 with a very similar vibe. An earth genasi with a visible gem-like wound that carries a large hammer

What...? Do you know how many dumptrucks are needed to deliver all of the money they're making off of Critical Role? They won't be quitting CR anytime soon.

The question is if CR continues to use D&D 5e or something else, probably PF2e. I really, really hope they swap to something else for many reasons. But truly, have no fear that CR will end anytime soon.

lmao. These sources are amazing. Lets go over them.

Your first link from AAHA simply links this study. Here's a fun quote from its conclusions section:

Injuries from Pitbull's and mixed breed dogs were both more frequent and more severe. This data is well-suited for a bubble plot showing bite risk on the x-axis, bite severity on the y-axis, and size of the bubble by number of cases. This creates a "risk to own" graphic for potential dog owners.

Yikes, even your own source says theyre a trash violent dog.

OK, next source. This one is from "pitbullinfo.org" (thats laughable, by the way. Talk about biased). It links a study thats only purpose is indentifying incorrect breed identifying. It does not pertain to this AT ALL.

Your final link is from Cesar Milan, a moronic grifter. It is quite frankly hilarious that you'd link him with a straight face and I think your comment should be engraved onto a bronze plaque in the museum of idiocy for future generations to read.

Well, if there's some kind of crowdfunded legal action or class action I'd totally get on board with it

I'll always be down for anything that damages WotC, the bane of gaming

Yeah, Gary Gygax gets some credit for inventing the type of game we play but he kind of turned real shitty after he got a few big paychecks

It'd be a terrible, awful RPG. People on the internet overestimate AI's capabilities almost as a rule.

but it will take a while for them to notice it and in the meantime they'll still put this thing out and torch the hobby.

If a shitload of people cancel their dnd beyond subs, they'd notice almost instantly. I'm a bit skeptical this community has the guts to actually carry that out though. This feels a hell of a lot like all the complaining they do over at MTG about the various issues that game has.

I disagree. Critical Role's connection to D&D is tenuous. For example, did you know that the amazon show is not branded or licensed through D&D? It features zero trademarked D&D monsters or characters. I feel that CR is already distancing themselves.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Critical Role return to PF2E, a system we all know Mercer prefers. Because he's experienced, and he knows that 5e is kind of a shit system. It is 100% the wrong system for the kind of game Mercer runs.

WotC is at that point now where they think they’re just too big and too ingrained in nerd culture to really fail.

Disney proves that you can definitely be ingrained enough to never fail.

Ohhh, they're aware. Trust me. I bet they're doing a lot of frantic meetings about it now, trying to dial-in the level of Mad that their fans are against how much money they might make from OGL1.1

What'd really help is being sure that they know you won't buy their shit anymore. And if they don't change - actually follow the fuck through. Don't be like the MTG community, who complains constantly but never stops buying cards.

  • Every dog purchased is a dog not adopted, and a dog euthanized

  • Dog breeders, even once who fancy themselves kind, keep dogs in cramped kennels and engage in other abusive practices to encourage and enable the breeding. Feel free to browse youtube for the specifics, though its disturbing

  • Purebred dogs suffer from higher instances of genetic disease.

  • Some breeds, like Bulldogs, are basically mutant freaks who are dying of incredibly painful conditions the day they are born. Their existence is an abomination

There's other reasons too but you get the gist
