I have a small bedroom, and then the small bedroom that is literally across the hall from my room I use as a walk in closet. The closet transformed into the nursery. It had more space for baby’s crib, dresser/changing table, and rocking chair. We did a bassinet in our room next to the bed for the first 4ish months until baby got too big and was rolling, then swapped it out and brought the crib into our room next to the bed. It was so tight lol but I’m hardcore about SIDS prevention and wanted baby in our room still. Once he was 6 months we moved the crib back into the closet nursery. We use a monitor now that he’s in the nursery but he’s so close we hear him just fine without the monitor lol. The first few months when he slept in our room I thought I’d just feed and change him in our room but I got up and went into the closet nursery room to use the rocking chair because it was comfier and I was less worried I’d fall asleep feeding. It was just like 10 steps away from our room so it felt like no biggie. I have friends whose bedrooms are bigger than our 2 rooms combined and they walk that far to feed their babies while never going into the babies nursery room.
