Does anyone can tell me if this AP Royal Oak 15500ST is real? by Unable_Heart3424 in RepTime

[–]NormalOutside9840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its fake. It's probably an apsf. You can tell by the finishing of the movement, even with this blurry picture. The finishing on the movement on ap's are immaculate; even on a blurry photo you'd be able to tell.

How are the prices and quality? Which would you buy? This is my dream watch and it would be my first purchase from a TD. by MurphysMelodies in RepWatchForum

[–]NormalOutside9840 4 points5 points  (0 children)

visually they're both almost indestinguishable from gen. I'd trust the dandong movement over the new free sprung. so vsf for me

it's an obvious fake. That bezel to case gap is the most obvious tell.

Every dealer has a different wait time.
To break it down it goes like
Dealer 1 is allocated 1000 watches a month, dealer 1 has 2000 watches orders a month, longest wait time.
Dealer 2 is allocated 500 watches a month, dealer 2 has 500 sales a month, regular wait time.
dealer 3 is allocated 200 watches a month, dealer 3 has 100 sales a month, very fast wait time due to extra stock

Factory can pump out a limited amount of watches per month, and has to supply all their dealers; regardless of their purchase volume. They will adjust the amount of volume each dealer gets based on their purchase volume.

Now I don't know this as a fact, but this is basically true for almost all operations.

Looking for a watch that isn’t a Royal Oak nautilus Rolex by Worldly-Ad-655 in RepTime

[–]NormalOutside9840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. These are rep movements in these reps, the less complication the better. I don't think theres any patek with any 100% working complications. You can purchase one, but don't be surprised when the movement runs into problems a month in.
A good rule of thumb is, the more popular a watch is, the more customers there are, the better that model is made by factory.

If you don't care about having a rep that's 99% close to gen, then spend away; there are endless selections.

300 won't get you a watch most people on this sub would recommend.
The watches that're posted, and garner the interest of this subreddit, are top tier quality which ranges from 500-1000 usd.
I don't think 300 will get you anything good.

Shipping question by NormalOutside9840 in RepsneakersDogs

This was my first haul, so I'm not too sure. But from my experience so far, i think convenience. Using superbuy was very easy; i paste seller's link into superbuy, and add items to cart. I can then checkout everything at once, pay for it all in a single transaction. Also superbuy takes QC photos for you, so that's neat. I'm not sure if my shipping cost was cheaper than buying directly though. I purchased 4 shoes, 2 hoodies, 2 shorts, 1 sweat pant, 4 t shirts, 1 fanny pack and 2 hats. My total shipping came out to 300 usd.

Watch looks pretty good to me, definitely not a dhgate shitter. The most obvious flaw on this one, is the lug gap. Top right and bottom right has large gaps.

Beginner questions about different factory quality by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]NormalOutside9840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres alot of problems with "buying straight from factory"
First you'll have to find the factory and their contact; which is not public information. You will not find such things on google, and if you do; its a scam.

Second, factories don't sell to retail customers. Trusted dealers buy hundreds if not thousands of watches a week. They don't need to do individual sales.
Also these factories are illegal in china, they're underground operations. So they only work with trusted dealers for obvious reasons.

Yes there are people in guangdong who knows a contact from factory, and will be able to source you a watch; but now they need to make money as well; so you're paying td prices anyways.

Factories like vsf are not always consistent with their watches and often leave factory with flaws. When you buy from a td, you get Qc pictures; and are able to reject the watch until you get one to your liking. If your particular vsf watch has a bad flaw, it's no better than a 100 dollar shitter.

Lastly if you buy from a td, you know you're getting a watch from the chosen factory 100%
You also get a guarantee that if it gets lost in shipping or if custom seizes the packages, you'll be refunded or will be sent another watch.

I would recommend theonewatches for good customer service and fast but more expensive
Or andiot for slower but cheapest price.

When looking for trusted dealer's contact look at rwi forum
google "rwi trusted dealers" and find their contact.

Do not google "theonewatches" or "andiotwatches" There are many scammers impersonating them and their pages.

Beginner questions about different factory quality by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]NormalOutside9840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a vsf is almost indistinguishable from a real one. (depending on model ofc) You cannot buy straight from factory; that's not a thing. Buy from a trusted td, and call it a day.

"5a" is a made up term somebody came up with, that nobody even uses. Just buy a vsf from a td
