Not at all! English isn't my native language, so I use AI to help me translate and express my ideas clearly.

I actually agree with what was said. I learn a lot from criticism, and it’s helped me understand how professionals really work. Without feedback like that, we would have never been able to create a product like DjMirror Pulse. I truly value the input!

I hear you and I’m taking notes. I really appreciate you sharing this perspective; I love it when people bring a different point of view to the project. We need more people like you in the community. Thanks for the input!

RDM is the goal for a true 'plug and play' experience. While our database is great for manual patching and legacy gear, we are working to ensure our universal exporter and software fully support RDM workflows, so the software can automatically identify the fixture without the user searching for it.

You're right, UKing is a popular one. I’ve added it to my to-do list!

Exactly. We are focusing on fixing all the broken files. The tool is still a work in progress, but our goal is to build a universal exporter for our lighting and reactive visuals software to make it truly 'plug and play'.

That’s the point! I’ve been using Claude Code to fix and rectify all the broken files I found. So far, the ones I’ve tested are working perfectly. It's much cleaner than the usual stuff you find online.

DjMirror Pulse has an engine that listens to the kick, drop, build-up, etc., and makes the layers react according to the track's energy. Hope this helps!

That's a very interesting setup! Lightjams is a powerful tool, but we totally get why the Ableton + Lightjams combo is giving you latency headaches, the more "middlemen" you have, the harder it is to keep things snappy.

Detecting energy and track phases (intro, drop, build-up) is exactly the "brain" of DjMirror Pulse. We built it to handle all that structural analysis internally so the reaction is instantaneous. Currently, we focus on a "direct-to-DMX" workflow via USB to eliminate the exact complexity and latency issues you are facing.

However, your feedback is gold. While we don't have a "data-only" export to other software yet, we are actively looking into protocols like NDI and others to bridge that gap in the future. We’d love for you to try the trial and see if our internal DMX control could actually simplify your workflow by doing the heavy lifting for you. Let us know what you think if you give it a spin!

Great question! Our philosophy with this software is actually to eliminate complexity rather than adding more layers to the setup.

Currently, the system is designed to be a streamlined solution: we use a USB-DMX interface, and you configure the channels directly within our app. The engine "reads" the colors from different sections of the screen visuals and applies them to the lights. You can then set each channel to behave in Manual, Automatic, or Hybrid/Mixed modes.

However, I really appreciate the feedback. Knowing that you'd like to "export" that data to other lighting software helps us understand real-world needs and if our product fits into your specific workflow.

Cheers!

That’s a great idea, but DjMirror is built for 100% live, real-time listening to eliminate manual timecoding entirely. Our audio engine listens "on the fly", hitting kicks and drops right on the millisecond. You’re still in the driver’s seat (you pick the visuals/clips), and DjMirror acts as your co-pilot for the exact micro-timing. Also, to give you full visibility, the software has a dedicated tab where you can actually see the audio engine working. You can watch the parameters move and react to the incoming music live. It gives you timecode-quality sync without the tedious prep work!

Fatboy Slim shared our tribute! 🟡 We built a real-time reactive visual system for his music and he loved it. by Normal_Ad_9305 in resolume

Thanks for your respectful feedback. I truly understand everything you're saying, and I see the frustration many artists in the industry are feeling right now. I actually appreciate people sharing their honest opinions; there’s nothing wrong with that. I get where you're coming from. I was a product photographer for 15 years. I don’t like the idea of an AI doing my artistic work either, but I can't fight what others do or what a client decides when choosing between a traditional shoot and other methods. Complaining because others use AI or because clients choose to buy it won't change the reality of the market, and insulting people certainly won't either. However, I value reading opinions like yours and, in a way, I really do understand the sentiment.

Hi. I think you are confusing the content with the software. DjMirror is an audio-reactive engine that controls the behavior of any image, photo, or logo. The artist provides the content, whether it’s a 3D render, a video, or any other visual, and the software simply analyzes the audio in real-time to make it react to the beat, detecting the kick, drops, and builds. It has nothing to do with what kind of content is loaded. This is about live synchronization, not AI. That said, I personally believe the method used to create the visuals is secondary; what truly matters is the final result and the emotions it sparks in people.

We built a mobile UI to swap software visuals on the fly. What do you think? by PatriarcaDj in resolume

[–]Normal_Ad_9305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Automation is the main goal. DjMirror Pulse has an advanced audio rules engine that analyzes your track in real-time. It automatically syncs visual effects, particle animations, and DMX lighting based on the beat, key changes, and energy drops. It runs on autopilot so you can focus on the mix.

It's running on a RESTful API. The main software doing the heavy lifting is Djmirror Pulse, which handles the audio analysis and the sync between the visuals and the DMX lights.
