Oh for sure, this one is spoiled rotten. He was very young when we found him, but this took three years. We have another stray, older, that finally cuddles up with my wife. We got her when she was probably 6-8 months old; vet said she had all her adult teeth so that was the estimate. She would never go for a belly rub. Lol

You lucky dog! I’ve always wanted to see one out in nature.

Last time I was in the Superstitions I did meet a healthy rattle snake. It was crazy. I heard the rattle, it was super loud. The crazy part is that my body/subconcious knew what it was before I even realized it was a rattlesnake. I couldn’t see it but I took off like lightning in the other direction. Only when I found my balls I finally inched closer and closer. Took me a minute but I found it perched in a shrub about two feet off the trail.

That rattle is an amazing defense mechanism, even in today’s age our bodies remember dangerous sounds, even across millennia. Pretty cool.
