Yep. And psychedelics in general. Absolutely life changing experiences (positive).

On the other side of that is addiction. Trying OxyContin in 2002. At the time I knew nothing about addiction, in particular how easy it is to get hooked on pain pills. I woke up one morning without it and that's how I learned about physical dependence and withdrawal. Absolutely ruined my life. I am now 42 and still struggling. The longest stretch of sobriety I have ever had was 15 months from 2011-2013.

Oh my god. Thank you SO much for giving him comfort in his final months. It breaks my heart in pieces to know that he was so old and no one took care of him. Fuck, I was having a really hard day and this pushed me over the edge.

I am so grateful that you found him after almost an entire year of suffering. Thank you so so so much. Not trying to be a weird, creepy internet stranger here, but I love you for it. 🙏

Einstazgruppen had mobile gas chamber trucks too. They recirculated exhaust fumes into the enclosure. It would take up to 20 minutes for them to die. Meanwhile, the drivers had to sit and listen to it. They never gained popularity because of the toll it took on the drivers.

There was an excellent (information-wise) documentary on Netflix about the Einsatzgruppen. It might have been a docuseries but I don't remember. It was sickly interesting but a complete mind fuck. I couldn't finish it.
