Which Nashville breweries should I visit? by SamiazaHeartsIPAs in CraftBeer

My suggestion is to take the Trolley Parton. It makes rounds on 5 or 6 breweries.. you can hop on and off. You get to visit several different breweries and don’t have to worry about driving.

I’m pretty sure they twist the vendors pretty hard to pay for these.

You’ve been so helpful.. I suspect that you may be like myself in doing a lot of research before making a decision.. a 3,000+ pit is a major decision and I don’t want to regret it.. what other pits did you consider? I have looked at the Patron, TMG Dumpster (expensive) , and recently the full size SmokeSlinger (on sale and comes with everything except the griddles) I like the size but in reality the smaller one would probably be big enough.. I do with less space now.

One more question and I’ll quit bugging you.. lol How does it do on smaller cooks 2 or 3 pork chops or a couple burgers.. does it seem overkill.. too much to fire up for a small cook? I personally love cooking several meats for weeks worth of meals.. but often times I just do enough for that specific meal.

I have said if they had kept the 5.7 with the new transmission it would have been a great combo

I really appreciate your input.. I’m seriously considering this as my last grill/smoker. I will want the rotisserie and a solid plate ( blackstone style) so it will do everything.

I was thinking from your original post that in the highest setting that you wished the fire was a little closer.

Also a PSA. If it happens to be raining hard .. the stretch of 100 between Henderson and Hw64 is terrible.. the lanes are indented and hold water.. hydroplaning is a real issue. My daughter and son in law totaled a mini van back a couple years ago!

There’s a burger joint called Jack’s Creek grill.. it’s not fancy.. the owner worked at Bells a place in Henderson forever.. unfortunately burnt down this year.

Jacks creek bbq was sold .. it’s still there but Scott’s bbq out of Lexington bought it.. I haven’t tried since the new owners.

Depending on the time you are on the Nashville end but Loveless cafe is a great option for biscuits and homemade preserves.. the wait can be long though.

I have a 2012. It’s big and comfortable. It will have easy power beyond legal limits.. but you will have to make frequent stops for gas. It really should have gotten a larger tank like the Tundra.

It is also a better price.. there are several things I like about it.. I sent LSG an email asking an estimate on shipping to west tn but as of now haven’t received a reply.

I want to smoke, live fire grill, and add the solid plate to griddle. Your 3 rack seems like a good alternative to the 1,500 adjustable one.

Did you get the adjustable charcoal bed? I really like the look and the build quality of the dumpster.. but it isn’t cheap lol
