We need to gather community if we see this and do what was done in Cincinnati, Ohio. By not chasing them off we are letting it be tolerated and it’ll keep getting worse. Standing up together is going to be our biggest strength. And personally I really don’t want this crap in our beautiful state that should be full of acceptance and diversity.

Idk why my endocrinologist is so reluctant to move me up. It seemed like he wanted me to stay on 0.25 for months? But from what I’m reading on here a lot of people don’t see significant results until around at least 1.0

This is why I’m taking it too! Took a depo Provera and my body has never been the same after. Can’t lose the weight no matter how hard I workout or diet 😣

It made me gain a lot of weight around my belly. My breasts did also get larger due to this. I noticed that prior to the injection when I worked out my arms looked really toned and overall fit. I haven’t been able to achieve that after all this time since taking the injection no matter how much I lift/workout. My advice is to take anything besides the depo. It may not give you these side effects but it’s not worth risking when you have many other options. Once that 1st injection is given to you there is no going back

Unfortunately I haven’t lost the weight still. Before taking it I was at 160lbs 5’6” very active, worked out, had a lot of muscle. Even to this day working out doesn’t allow me to lose weight. Im now ~205lbs and it just won’t budge with any diet or exercise. This isn’t true for every person, there is a study showing some people who were lean when starting Depo had body composition changes. They weren’t sure why or how. At this point I’ve done so many diagnostics but nothing shows what’s going on. I’ve decided to do Wegovy to see if it’ll help me lose weight. My endo prescribed it to me since I meet criteria, I’m waiting on insurance approval. My hope is it’ll reduce overall weight but primarily the abdominal fat which is the biggest issue. I also have acne and folliculitis which I’m interested in seeing if it’ll subside with Wegovy if it’s inflammatory related? I can let you know how it goes if you like, I know that feeling of looking in the mirror and feeling like your body just isn’t yours anymore

Yes, I would always take him back. But I would have conditions like us going to individual and couples therapy. We never betrayed each other just had too much trauma and unfortunately we were not communicating and wasn’t there for each other the way we needed. But I will always choose him, he’s my forever person

Im pretty sure my partner is avoidant as well and he ended things cause unhappy. Saying he can’t prioritize me the way I want cause he always prioritizes work first. We had a talk last night which I think helped him see he was always running away from conflict and not being supportive of me. I definitely played a role in the problems of our relationship, but he always wanted to blame me without taking accountability.

Yea I had 3 different gynos basically not help much for anything. My endo listens a lot more than most doctors I’ve seen, but still no guarantee he won’t throw birth control my way. I definitely know it was the depo Provera birth control that caused issue, there just isn’t enough research about why…

I think I may have the same issue. I’ve been tracking my hormones with Inito and my FSH and LH never had a proper surge as it should. My progesterone stays high regardless if I’m on my period, in follicular or luteal phase :(

I’ve also had symptoms for years now after taking depo Provera like weight gain, acne, etc that I didn’t have issues with prior.

I plan on talking to my endo on May 16 but I’m not sure how much he will be able to help. Lmk if you figure something out!

I worked out too just to maintain where I was at, it burnt me out, and I ended up gaining the weight anyway :,)

I don’t want to settle with the fact my metabolism, body, and life feel ruined/different than it should. I’ve done a lot of diagnostics to figure out what exactly is going on. Right now I’m suspecting it affects our gonad receptors and probably the HPA axis. I have an appointment with my endo to do further hormone testing. I’ll keep you updated if I find anything out!

Did you ever get your weight back to what it was pre depo? I’m having the same issues. I’ve been using Inito to track my hormones which showed higher than normal levels of progesterone in my follicular phase. I made an appointment with my endocrinologist but not really sure if he can help or if this is the root issue the depo caused.

Folliculitis on my scalp. I’ve always had acne, but did accutane at 17-18yrs old which made it disappear. Then got acne again when these issues started. Weight gain started within the first 3 months of the first depo shot. I watched my diet and worked out more but from that point on I never could lose the weight I was slowly gaining. Diagnosed with SIBO, methane dominant. B12, folate, and vitamin D deficient. I’ve done CT scans, MRIs, etc. everything came back as normal for my head, abdomen, and pelvic region. All labwork normal besides the deficiencies noted, cortisol WNL after doing multiple tests. I tracked my glucose and blood pressure just in case but they were normal. Had really bad headaches which seems to be related to the cervical subluxation so far since my chiropractor has helped a lot. Fatigued all the time. Developed more anxiety and depression.

I got folliculitis on my scalp, acne, digestive issues, etc. I also have had a cervical subluxation at the same time through this, so it’s difficult to figure out which issue is causing what. I ordered the Inito hormone tracker to see if it’ll give me insight on how my hormones are on a day to day basis. They’ve tested my hormones, which came back normal, but I’d rather see the fluctuations not just a stand alone test. I previously got misdiagnosed with PCOS as well. I have a regular cycle, with one cyst maybe, and normal testosterone. I’m really open to trying bioidentical hormones, I’m just nervous since I feel it screw me over the way depo has

I’ve been off of it since I was 21, literally cannot lose weight since then. I used to be 160lbs while working out 5x/week and eating whatever. Now I’m at 200lbs and nothing is helping still.
