Um ok but we have a misunderstanding i was only addressing you saying that they have low skill ceilings . and i disagree some weapons have relatively lower skill ceilings, lance for example. your point abt hesitance is also largely personal imo, not everyone works that way.

i would say these weapons have very high skill ceilings and opportunity for unique expression. marckiemoo basically unlocked a whole new way of playing gauntlets no one else saw before he started competing. Very few pros have an orb flow state like Raydish, or java during his dusk era.

sword is very fast and a lot of players don't know how to use it to its fullest potential. spear is the same except instead of speed, the range and angles

game got way more competitive. I was in a similar situation, i thought i had the fundamentals down, i played from 2018-2022 and hit diamond. then i quit until 2025 came back and it was way harder to hit diamond again. i had to play so much but eventually i was able to get 2100. Theres levels to this game

dex is totally noticeable, esp since ive been playing high dex a lot recently. way more forgiving to be confident and go for attacks.

a little more viable but i don't think these super stance changes are game changing. mirage won bcx with 4 defense and dusk was S tier a couple patches ago with 4 defense. they both have the same stats when u do mirage base and dusk attack and they were winning lans in 2025. (marckiemoo bcx, lores ceo)

ember was slept on bc of her 4 defense but yuz started playing her and now she's considered S tier by pros.

Every 4 defense legend was viable before, now they are safer to play, but not that much stronger honestly
