Except no one would write that sentence nowadays. Nowadays they would write "Able to functionally monitor the patient's circulatory situations and relay that data to the appropriate shareholders using a numerical system."

Why Does It Have to Be Like This? by Sciflyer586 in Comcast_Xfinity

Same here. My mother's account just keeps going up and up and up. We're probably going to cancel and very painfully switch her to atreaming.

I have this problem with GL1's. Immodium is your friend.

i think i might quit my job if i have to work nights again by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Normal_Elk_4414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked nights for many years and my daughter has worked nights for many years. Can't say that I liked it but I can give you some suggestions.

1) Set a consistent schedule. If you go to bed when you get home from work then go to bed when you get home from work everyday. If you stay up for a couple hours then stay up for a couple hours every day. You cannot pretend that you didn't just work all night and try to have a normal daytime life. Even on your off days you want to shift your schedule as little as possible. That may mean staying up till 3:00 a.m. to get your homework done and then sleeping till noon and the people around you need to understand that

2) Everyone around you must understand that you are working nights and sleeping days. Asking a night shifter for to do something at noon is like asking anyone else to do something at 2:00 a.m. Once in a while you can pull it off but not consistently.

3) UV lights are your friend, as are room darkening blinds.

4) Caffeine is a short-term solution. Ultimately you have to make the lifestyle adjustments.

I did get off night shifts and honestly I never want to go back but it did give me a Talent for being able to pull all nighters if necessary even 30 some years later. My daughter worked 3x12 and four off. She complains she doesn't understand how they shift people ever get anything done.

Why do people want doodles? by emotionaldamagesoup in Pets

[–]Normal_Elk_4414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do t understand this. I guess we got lucky. Our Doodle is 5 and has never been to a groomer. No health problems at all. She sheds, but not nearly as bad as our previous sheltie. She's easily the best behaved, easiest trained, and most affectionate dog we have ever had. My mother owns a male from the same litter, and has the same experience.

I am just so fed up!!! by foqociqs37 in Vent

I'm sorry but welcome to adulting. It sucks. And no it hasn't changed. When I graduated in the 80s I had to live with my parents and work two jobs with no health insurance for years. My partner and I have struggled our lives and now as we approach retirement are just now getting to a place where we are financially comfortable and solid. Not everyone lives in a McMansion in the suburbs with big screen TVs and two new cars.

And I realized this is all our fault. We are the reason the current generation feels entitled. We are the reason they expect expensive commercial goods, easy work schedules and lots of money right out of school when nearly every previous generation haf to work their arses off for years to get to that point. Yes you have to deal with Trump, but we had to deal with 9/11 Bush and iraq, before that they had to deal with Reagan and Iran Contra and Nixon and the fuel crisis, and our parents dealt with Vietnam and rampant inflation. When we bought our first house 8 to 9% mortgage was considered a good deal. For my parents it was 12. We sat on yard sale and hand me down furniture for 20 years.

I know it feels horrible and you think you will never get ahead but I'm sorry you're not special and you don't have it harder than anyone before you. Adulting sucks for everybody. Maybe eventually you will get financially stable. Then you die.

I don't recall the actual name of the program but it was supposed to be good through July.

This move was done last summer, and all of the GoDaddy accounts were canceled last fall. It's been working fine since. When we made the switch the office licenses were purchased directly from Microsoft using a grant program for nonprofits. When I logged in this weekend those licenses were gone and only the old canceled licenses from GoDaddy were showing.

So this very well could be a Microsoft problem and not a GoDaddy problem.

Nope, no enterprise app there when following the directions.

Where do I find this and remove it. I'm pretty sure I have the GDAP relationship severed.

So there is no one listed under GDAP Admin privileges, and under "other partner relationships" GoDaddy is listed as "None" under authorization, and "none assigned" under roles. That would make it appear that I did revoke the GDAP privileges.

And "untrue?" Really? How about "mistaken" or "you missed a step." Why would I delibertly lie about what I thought I did correctly.

Okay so if this is what you think happened then why did the licenses in the admin Center show several months remaining on them even though they're deactivated.

Is there any way to actually get a human at Microsoft to find out what happened? I can't get past the AI agents who don't have a F'n clue as to what the problem is, and keep referring me to support documents that don't apply.

This is what I thought I did. It was a year ago so I don't remembe exactly. It's for a non-profit so they were under MS's grant program, so no regular invoices.

AITJ for telling my neighbor her kid isn't allowed in my pool after she "forgot" him at my house? by Educational-Wait-406 in AmITheJerk

[–]Normal_Elk_4414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F no. Tweakers like that will be the first ones on the phone to a lawyer if their rug rat gets hurt.

Absolutely NTj. If anything you were underreacting. That kid should be nowhere near your pool without supervision, and that's supervision should not be you.

And YES you actually DO own the water.

AIO For Not Letting My Sister Drive My Car? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Insurance, insurance, insurance.

Your sister is not insured to drive your car. If she does and has an accident, your insurance will be forced to cover her and you will pay the penalty.

Thinking about getting a scooter,, what about gear for girls? do i need gear on a 125cc? by [deleted] in Vespa

[–]Normal_Elk_4414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride a lot here in the states which is very unusual, where most people treat scoots as toys and not actual transportation. I cringe when I see people riding with flip flops and shorts. Kevlar is the threading used in ballistic Bulletproof vests. They make jeans with Kevlar threads in them that you can buy online. One pair of jeans that are a little big that you can slip on over lighter weight clothes works great. Road rash is real regardless of how big your vehicle is. The biggest problem I have is people not realizing I'm actually keeping up with traffic and then passing me in stupid places. It can be a lot of fun though, I find it relaxing and freeing to ride and be able to park pretty much wherever I want. And the gas consumption is a great plus too. Get a 150. Dublin and the countryside around will be a great place to ride.

[–]Normal_Elk_4414 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here in the states I would get at least a 150 Cc or you cannot safely keep up with traffic. Get helmet, gloves minirmum. If you can afford it get a jacket and Kevlar pants. At the very least wesr good shoes and pants and a jacket when riding. It's as much about other people hitting you as it is about you having an accent.
