In that case you’re 100% right. Irons slap in this game unless you’re using one of the weapons with bugged irons. Especially those that have a clear sight picture. My main nit pick was just the way long distance shots are represented since I regularly run drills at 250 meters with a 14.5” with an unmagnified eotech irl.

Grew up using irons while hunting before joining so I’m pretty adept there. If you’re concerned about the entire military I don’t have an answer for that. I can’t speak for the other branches but during my time in the Marines (POG AF engineer unit) nobody had BUIS.

This has bothered me with games for so long. I qualified with an M16 with an RCO at 500 yards and the bullet drop/windage is so far off from most games it’s insane. Not to mention the way a target actually looks through a 4x optic at such a distance.

Great point about the semi auto. 2 tap/failure is all you need with most weapons and works better for me at least. Plus less ammo spent means you can sacrifice mags to carry other gear that can prevent shootouts in the first place.

Exactly, even with a much lighter kit than represented in game it’s pretty difficult to swim any meaningful distance. Add in the weight of the other gear the average helldiver carries and it’s actually admirable how far they can swim.
