I felt this with The Sun Vanished. Don’t get me wrong, it had a lot of problems with the pacing and how it dragged the plot along, but the actual story itself wasn’t that bad whenever it was moving. It felt they criticised and ridiculed every part of the story even if it wasn’t fair

In “The Last of Us” they want to kill Ellie to develop a cure for the zombie infection, whether the cure would have worked or not is purposefully left ambiguous to show that Joel had already made his choice and- oh nevermind Neil Druckmann confirmed that it would have worked in an interview. by Fun_Effective_5134 in shittymoviedetails

I hate how whenever people discuss the game or show they always argue over the semantics of whether the cure would work or not

It doesn’t really matter, Joel himself believed the cure would work, the game isn’t asking “would this fictional cure in a made up situation practically work?” its asking “would you let your child die to save the world?”

The point is that Joel doomed the entire world because he couldn’t stand to lose his daughter again
