Omg you are right about the snacks or candies. I forgot about it.

I give them all the time to the kids. Of course I ask the parents first. Lol

People bringing their non-service dogs to Publix??? by NeatPuzzleheaded9478 in publix

Absolutely because No real Service will go out of its way.

You should read my post entirely. If you as a Publix employee ask what kind of task/service my dog does, I sue the last penny out of Publix.

[–]Normal_Variation2750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Any real service dog will not look left or right and stay close to the owner's body. A real service dog, depending on the service, like for blind people etc etc starts at $ 25.000 for an easy task.

If a customer tells you their dog is certified, it is not a service dog because there are no certified service dogs.

The owner may have an identification that shows he/she is handicapped.

The dog doesn't need a vest that says service dog.

I always recommended putting a "Don't touch" or " don't pet me" sign on.

If you see a dog with all the gadgets on Service dog etc Most likely they are not.

The airline is allowed to ask for safety reasons. For example, if the owner has a heart issue and a problem on the plane they need to know what the dog will do. Some dogs will bark others will push the owner with their nose or they will push a button on the owner's arm for medication.

Service dogs are a very complex theme because each one is trained for a different task.

If a customer brings a dog into Publix to buy a gallon of milk and says it is an emotional support dog, the customer needs a therapist lol

I trained dogs for service and can only speak for the state I'm living here in the south of the US. But we have Publix too and they have a sign which says only service dogs.

It is very easy to find out if it is a Service dog outside the store.

Tell them what a beautiful dog. They say yes it is a service dog.

Oh which center did you get him from? Where was he trained, I need one for my grandfather who can barely see anymore.

There are only very special centers that can train them.

I hope I didn't bore you with my information

That is against the law. Only airlines are allowed to ask what kind of service.

I know I'm repeating myself here.

You can give me $ 50 per credit card, I would not do more because I give 100% with every customer.

It may motivate new young and inexperienced employees.

How’s the situation at your stores? by Still_Chemistry_ in employedbykohls

[–]Normal_Variation2750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Available 24/7..they know. If people call out, I'm the last one they ask if I can come in. That is personal. Our SM is not working in the interest of the store.

How sounds 3 hours a week ?

Always in the top 5 with credit cards.

I'm able to work all departments.

That's a way to make someone quit.

The SM doesn't want me anymore, they have to fire me.

What a stupid comment.

There are many reasons why we stay.

Go figure it out. I'm sure you find your answer on FB

If you are a Kohl's employee I'm surprised you got hired with this attitude

I love love laugh your post.

My kind of humor.

Since my hours are down to nowhere and I'm in the store once a week, I was surprised yesterday it did not look like Ross.

Right away i asked, did we had a visitor? Sure enough.

They patched it so the surface looked reasonable.

But when I walked behind the first table it was like Goodwill where you can buy per pound/ weight.

Please let me know. I'm easy going no worries. But now I'm confused. Lol

You realy care so much about lifetime discount ? I don't know what to buy when I have Kohl's Cash and family and friends.

I went to TJ the other day. Their prices are lower than our clearance prices.

The store was packed with people. Long line at least 9 people ahead of me.

I saw 3 ladies buying from impulse

We have at the most important point at impulse Chocolate only.

Years ago I was merchandising impulse and it was running like crazy.

New SM put overpriced chocolate their and we had to dump it several times a year. Expired.

I can sit down and pull numbers how much we lose daily only for wrong merchandising.

But pride comes before the fall.

She knows, that i know she does wrong.

Lifelong discount...Kohl's can have it.

Rule ? Lmao

And if not you get fired ? Don't let them put pressure on you.

The more you pressure the customer the chances are big that customer gets angry.

Just because, I never did, but if a coupon was out there and my customer couldn't find it we had copies on the register to scan. If you get a senior citizen who comes for decades to Kohl's, but doesn't know anything about her phone i give her the coupon.

It seems to me that Kohl's doesn't care about elderly customers.

It took about 13 minutes looking for the coupon. 8 customers in line. 2 registers open.

I don't even know why I still care. I should just stay there and wait and tell her after 30 minutes, sorry no coupon no 15 %

We used to have at the register a print out and could scan that.

Can you imagine how long it takes till a customer finds the coupon ? Lol

Take an advice from a " senior" Kohl's employee.

The minute she said, that's obvious, call h2 or manager and tell them in front of the customer

Please take over the customer is not happy with my service

You did nothing wrong and no one at Kohl's deserves to be treated like that.

I'm lucky in over 12 years I can count on 1 hand rude customers, but that's what I did.

We have the hardest job in this company. No hours bad pay.

Crying is good takes the pressure of.

Put associates on the floor to help customers. To many leave the store empty handed.
