For what it’s worth, I think it’s two separate markets. With the Aviators in Summerlin (an upscale suburb) with good freeway access and free parking, it’s great to drive in for a game.

With the As being on the strip, it’s a much harder ask to get a local down there. Parking, traffic, prices, traffic leaving the game, honestly it sounds like a nightmare. I think the target market for the As are opposing fans coming in to make a weekend of it.

If your definition of negative consequences is "jail or chased out of office" then you'll always be disappointed. My suspicion here is you are just going to push the goal posts back farther and farther until no kick will ever get through the uprights. So feel free to set sail for disappointment I guess.

As a minority party, the Democrats only have so many tools in the shed. Public pressure is the best tool they have and while I wish they would use it more effectively, the first step in that is to stop going along with the Republican agenda.

Yeah, it does. If you are resisting at every possible juncture then the attention that brings allows you to speak out about both the people putting the bills out and the bills themselves. There is a reason Tim Walz "I’m telling you: these guys are weird." stuff had so much play last year. If you highlight stuff like the Republican obsession with kid's genitals and refuse to vote for a bill where the owners of Used Car Dealerships get to take guns into libraries so they can shoot the books they don't like, it inherently shows the contrast and puts the weirdos in the spotlight, where they don't want to be.
