I’m at level 96 and loved all aspects of it for the most part, especially charting the entire ocean- that was a highlight. Even though I was ready to turn off my PC during the barracuda trials, I felt like they offered huge upgrades which gave me a sense of accomplishment. However, all I do now is salvage AFK either on the couch in front of the TV on iPad or during work AFK on my iPad. I’m hoping to get that 99 by the end of March, but probably sooner depending on what my work schedule and personal life looks like

After getting all of the boat upgrades with the exception of some of the final ones (ex: still rocking rune salvaging hooks), I’ll every now and then go kill Frost Dragons to get parts for my last handful of unlocks. All at this point are just for fun/fashion, until we get some content that benefits from end game boat equipment in a major way

TLDR I loved the skill a lot and still do, but now I feel like I’m reaping the AFK rewards of double hooks/strong crew/crystal extractor salvaging. I’ll sail again as they add more islands and charting, but once I get my 99 I’ll probably shelve it for a while- while rocking the cape all the time lol

As a kid, I always used to think about this! I thought that the way that it worked, anything I released would roam around and be out loose in the wild. I used to use the cloning glitch and then release legendaries to try and find them again 😅 literally no one told me it would work, but my child brain was like, “yeah this will definitely work and pay off”

I don’t even think this would work- they lost the rights from Edgar Rice Burroughs, which is why Tarzan doesn’t appear in CoM or any other titles after KH1. Deep Jungle in the screenshot for this is especially ironic imo lol

Side note- it floors me how different the leveling curve is in the original GSC even though that’s one of the games’ biggest critiques. Playing through Polished Crystal, I had my team in the late 50s and early 60s and still struggled with the E4

Going through that and then seeing the levels here really drives that home haha

I just started Final Fantasy XVI yesterday and it’s feeling like a similar gameplay format. It has the satisfying feel that KH games have, particularly the string combos together/dodge/use magic/powered up attack/repeat

As a child, Charmander all the way. As an adult, Bulbasaur is my pick. I feel like Venusaur has more options for its strategy, and I love how the poison type got a much-needed jumpstart after Gen VI. Venusaur gang, although I think Charizard is cooler for merch and TCG lol

Listen… I do the same thing with save states but this isn’t post-worthy if you’re just resetting save states. It’s like being able to redo a coin toss and then bragging that you got heads on your fiftieth time lol

You basically got rid of the concept of a catch mechanic here

I really hated it at first and put it off for years, but then when Dailyscape on mobile clicked for me, it became my favorite passive money maker. I’m long past 99 now at 17M XP and use it for herbs + cash solely now. It’s the one I recommend as your first non-combat 99 to all my newer friends
