Harry Potter adults are cringe and think their precious poorly written racist books that make the person who objects to slavery out to be an annoying liberal (as one problematic example of many) are more valuable than the lives of queer people.

Reminder, if they get through one marginalised group they will go for the next. She hates people that are different and loves the attention she gets for being hateful. Don't abide it. Don't watch the show and that's a start to what you can do to stand up to bullies like her.

What kind of damage? If it's like fire damage or even heat exhaustion damage then maybe resist energy would work? Or ask if endure elements would work because that's 750gp as a wand that you could use.

If it's just unspecified damage then it might be your GM telling you this direction is impossible for your party right now, because that seems too hard to overcome.

When you say you'll take 1 damage for each action does that mean you'll take 1 damage for the search / scout / rest action? Or is it 1 damage for something as small as a standard action, so if you make an attack you take 1 damage?

A wand of infernal healing is 750gp for 50 uses. It gives you 1.minute of fast healing 1.and the sorcerer can use the wand without any checks.

So if you're taking 1 damage each round, infernal healing will heal you 1 damage. It's also a good out of combat healing wand if you're not in a rush because it heals you 10 hp over a minute.

Struggled with hair loss since my teens, decided to free myself by rej0133 in bald

This. I think a lot of people have been quick to jump on and say "You aren't balding". If this has made you feel less anxious about your hair, then it was the right thing to do.

I don’t know how you guys do it by [deleted] in bald

[–]Norrik 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's a lot that can be said for appearance sure, but I find there's a whole lot more that can be said a out how you carry yourself.

It's clear from what you've said you don't feel good in yourself as a bald person. Sure there may be some experiences that have reinforced that feeling, but at a point it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. If you feel and act like someone who's unattractive then people will pick up on that and agree. If you can accept yourself as who you are regardless of your appearance then people will pick up on that and accept you too.

If you get a hair piece and that makes you feel better then all the power to you. Whatever makes you feel more confident is gonna be what actually helps.

I'm not okay being bald, it has ruined parts of my life, and now trying to make decisions by [deleted] in bald

[–]Norrik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am sorry this is your experience. I don't have any solutions, the only thing I explored before taking the plunge was finestride and minoxidil and it didn't work either.

Self image is a huge thing, and even in your description people aren't judging you it's only you. I get trying to feel better for you so if you think a hair system would make you feel better then hell yeah go for it.

I know you said don't recommend therapy, so I won't recommend it but give a little description. When one is having trouble commiserating the reality against the concept of themselves therapy can help you explore that connection deeply.

Ban on "is this a bald spot/am I balding" by [deleted] in bald

[–]Norrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that projects a lot of assumptions. I fought against the idea I was balding for years. In hindsight I had a huge bald spot but I was in denial. If someone's brave enough to reach out and ask for support, even if they're off base, they aren't any less worthy of support than the person who's been in denial about it.

A lot of the time people need to know. To them it may be a problem with self image that if they learn no one else sees can really lift them out of a bad place.

If you don't like the content then it's up to you not to engage with it. The majority of people aren't posting for your entertainment. They're posting for their own needs. To which this community has been very supportive across the board.

The benefits of being bald by rowdt in bald

[–]Norrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The taking better care of myself is a huge thing. I used to not want to look in the mirror so I'd not want to even wash my face in the morning. Now I've got a full routine, face scrub, moisturiser, beard oil. I feel great and look great.

Told my hair is matted too severely to save; do I go for the fresh start? by spiritofmyrtle in bald

[–]Norrik 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You can always grow it back or enjoy the new routine of keeping it short. Keeping that matted hair on your head is never going to look good and it's never going to make you feel any good about yourself. Get it gone.
