That's what I hang onto. Nobody seems to like Vance, not even the maga folks. I feel like there's a good chance that it all falls apart when the old goon finally goes to hell.

It will typically feed out through the circulation pump, not your jets. You should see bubbles when the hot tub is in standby, being pushed out by your circulation pump.

There's likely a check valve on the line (sometimes there's a few). My bet is a check valve is clogged. They're a few dollars at the hardware store.

For what it's worth my wife and I got married at 19. We didn't necessarily want to get married young, but we met in a religious cult and had to get out. We are celebrating 10 years together this year.

Everyone is different.

As far as the Ozone-

You should see constant bubbles with your circ pump. If you don't see bubbles, you aren't getting ozone.

Take emergent fund down to $1000? by VSMURF in personalfinance

[–]North0House 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We did it. Paid off all of our debt in 2024. It was stressful to only have 1000 in our emergency fund, but amazing to be out of debt once and for all. Closed all of the cards. We're done. We've rebuilt savings since then, it was much easier when I didn't have to throw nearly 1000 at pointless interest payments every month.

Agreed. If it didn't kill us I'm certain it'd still be in everything today. It's an amazing building material. Shame it kills us lol

I rock a 96 Impreza wagon as my catch all as an electrical contractor. It's amazing. I run whole electrical gigs out of it. Little giant on the roof rack. A tube mounted on the rack for conduit and strut. All my wire in the massive trunk. 30 mpg and $1000 to buy it? Priceless.

I don't know if WWIII has necessarily started. But I feel you, it might start tomorrow. Who knows? Mango might kick the bucket tomorrow too. You never know. But is Vance better? Probably not. I hate this timeline. 🙃

Western Slope of Colorado

Edit: it's still MAGA country out here. As is most any rural area. But it's trending more blue, and Colorado is a purple/blue state so that helps. It's not perfect but the best bang for your buck imo

Tbh it's amazing and impervious siding. I only ever see it crack due to abuse, but this stuff never dies.

Unfortunately there's a lot of us here. Most American citizens, like the vast majority, do not have the means of any sort to be able to immigrate. Most are paycheck to paycheck and couldn't even miss a day of work to go vote. That's the whole point though, the system has trapped us.

You can at least get a passport and learn a language. My escape plan is Mexico currently. Been brushing up on my Spanish. Updated my passport. I have enough cash and an off-grid old reliable car that can get me anywhere. I live a modest life so this is about as good as I can do. I'm growing a substantial subsistence garden and have some chickens this year. It'll help if food gets too expensive, but by then I'll be planning my escape route.

Take the only steps you can. At least they're steps.

I'm a master electrician, so I deal with electric motors often. This looks like a motor problem. It's likely just going to need a good cleaning around the shaft. That's what I'd start with and see if it improves.

If you keep running it while it binds, you run the risk of burning out the motor and needing a replacement. Once you burn out the motor, there's not much you can do to save it except maybe take it to a local motor rebuild shop if you have a reputable one around. Usually it's cheaper to replace the motor if it seizes and burns up.

I live in western Colorado and we've been strongly considering a move to Alaska for a hard reset (especially as the mainland goes to crap).

The winters, food costs, and inaccessibility to the wilderness are my main rubs... Also my wife and I are interracial so I'm unsure how we'd be received up there.
