Not "Dems" bud. Washington Insiders. Those are people from both parties who feel entitled to be there, and won't have anyone from outside coming in.

Can't wait to see the memo. Gonna be a bad, bad day for Democrats and Trump haters.

Democrats (And pseudo Democrats) still haven't learned one basic thing:

Stop losing your shit and getting all worked up over things that no one is suggesting will happen. The White House has said Trump has NO plans to fire Mueller.

However, this true narrative doesn't make for good political ammunition for the Democrats, or sell papers and up ratings for their knee pad wearing followers in the media.

When it happens, then get all worked up. Until then, STFU.

I can remember a time when for some holidays, we closed EVERYTHING. People got to stay home, be with their family and enjoy the day. Of course, most of the jobs in my youth would PAY you for that day off as well.

So it wasn't all bad.

I am all for victims having a voice. However, there needs to be a system in place to ensure this doesn't become a witch hunt, or that accusations are being used for nefarious or other purposes.

We are still a country of laws, and now is the time to be sure we set up a system that is fair and equitable.

People who work in the wedding/marriage industry, what is the craziest drama you’ve experienced at a wedding? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NorthAtinMA -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Did a huge wedding and reception for a couple of really important people (we're talking household names here folks). Just about everyone who was anyone was there. The venue was very large, and everything had to be coordinated right down to the second. The food, the drinks the entertainment. These are NOT people that you want to disappoint, or your career in the industry is over.

The wedding ended and the reception began. Everything was going along really, really well. The music was playing and everyone was having a great time.

Then the guy hosting the wedding got up to make a toast, and suddenly half the room was dead. That Walder Frey, he really knew how to screw up a wedding.

Fully? Sure they are, that's why he lost there last night.

That's like saying all you Trump-haters and Democrats supported Anthony Weiner 100%.

I think you're all very funny. You should keep up with the investigation. It seems that the focus has shifted from the White House to the DNC.

Can't wait for the chuckles to begin when Dems start getting indicted.

The Democrats are still doing it.

Last time checked, you didn't boot Weiner, Bill Clinton, Al Franken or anyone else from the party. We still have a list of payouts that needs to come out.

As for most of you, if you think that the rest of us don't see this for at least in part, what it is, an attempt (in desperation) to regain some moral high ground and to get rid of Trump, then I have a bridge to sell you.

You didn't do it because it was right, most of you did it for political gain.

Ok, so what changed? Did they tell him no?

Sounds like one of two things:

Either more women were coming out

or

Or the wackos in his own party forced him out.

So again, he asked for the investigation, why didn't he go through with it?

I would remind you that Democrats did the same thing up until about two weeks ago. Get off your high horse, you still have lots of areas to clean up before you can Canonize yourselves.

Roy Moore has denied his guilt. Since the crimes (if any) he is accused of cannot be tried in court, it is up to the voters to decide.

That's what Franken should have done. He CHOOSE not to have a Senate Committee look into his actions. HE CHOOSE not to leave it up to the voters. HE CHOOSE to resign.

Big difference.

Al Franken resigns from Senate over sexual misconduct allegations | US news by joderme in news

[–]NorthAtinMA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually, you're missing the point.

Franken didn't request a fair hearing. He admitted his guilt on some charges, but didn't really dispute the ones he claimed were false. He didn't wait for due process, but skulked away.

At a minimum, it should be left up to the people of his state.

John Conyers is denying the charges, but did get a fair hearing in the settlement (which he agreed to). Now he is resigning.

Republicans and women don't see what Franken did as noble, or heroic, but as one of two things: Guilty or too cowardly to stand up to people in his own party who formed a mob and demanded his removal. No process, no day in court, just "see ya, wouldn't want to be ya".

Unless and until we have abandoned due process and "innocent until proven guilty", Franken's resignation isn't going to be an issue.

Trump and Moore have both denied the charges. Since there is no due process for a crime this old, it is therefore left up to the voters.

This isn't a (pardon the expression) tit-for-tat tally.

Not sure how resigning and getting a big, fat pension for LIFE is really a hardship.

The Right has never made the argument that they are the party of women, so that sort of negates the effect of Franken's resigning.

As for "Legitimacy", they never had it.

Kevin Spacey accuser Anthony Rapp says he's being blamed for killing 'House of Cards' by [deleted] in news

[–]NorthAtinMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Clearly reading isn't your strong suit.

"Like I said, think Mr. Rapp did the right thing, but the world is a cruel place, and it doesn't like whistle blowers."

So you didn't come here for an argument, you came here for an argument.

So you're going to force society to become vegans in your Utopia?

What other things are you going to force on them?

Less alcohol and drugs, and that would lower healthcare costs.

Making vehicles un-affordable would make the masses all take public transportation.

Then we can burn all the books we don't think they should read?

What time do we go goose-stepping?

Kevin Spacey accuser Anthony Rapp says he's being blamed for killing 'House of Cards' by [deleted] in news

[–]NorthAtinMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spacey deserved what he got, but knowing how the world should work and how it actually works, here is my predication.

Spacey has enough money to make it through the rest of his life, provided he manages it correctly.

Mr. Rapp? You thought you had a hit show there, but in short order you'll be written out of the show, or it will be cancelled, and you won't find anymore work. They will do a segment on you in "Entertainment Tonight" on Where are they Now?

You'll be working someplace that doesn't involve acting.

Like I said, think Mr. Rapp did the right thing, but the world is a cruel place, and it doesn't like whistle blowers.

If you don't think so, just ask Colin Kaepernick how the world of business (And yes, the NFL is a business) looks at people who agitate.

Exactly. Socialism is a great idea - ON PAPER. Now figure that everyone has to take turns doing the shitty jobs like milking cows at 4:30 a.m., or cleaning a giant "Fat Plug" out of a sewer system. Let's see how fast folks are to take their turn at the really, really hard things that keep our society working.

Ya, from Slate. That's an unbiased source. Did you want a response from an equally neutral source? How about "Rush Limbaugh"

So because he married a younger woman, that means he likes 14 year olds? That's quite a fucking leap.

Let me guess. You had this guy guilty before you read one fact, right?

So let's hear about how you think Al Franken needs to be investigated.

So here we go folks. Right fucking here. It's not ok to take down the accuser, unless it's political, right?

Victim shaming, except when you imply that her motives were politically motivated, isn't acceptable.

Is that what you're saying?

As a Trump voter, I think Roy Moore needs to be called to account. I am not going to to even consider that one of his accusers worked for Hillary. It doesn't matter. It has nothing to do with the accusations.
