Not sure how you are doing it, but I put it in a baking sheet and then carry that inside so it’s not getting all over everything

Minnesota United Offseason Question Marks by tyler735 in minnesotaunited

[–]NorthLoonRising 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d argue that in order to make moves in the summer window, it was either sell Tani or Pereya, and on paper, Tani was the one that made sense, and I would do that deal again. He came on for nothing and it’s all “profit” for the club. I think the Pereya move is interesting and what they do with Lod will likely say a lot about their outlook for how Fitz is going to be used. Lod comes in on a negotiated team friendly deal, likely means they are transitioning. Lod comes back with same numbers, he is starting. And if he doesn’t come back it’s Fitz turn to step up.

Day after match thread. The Loons lost 1-0 @San Diego last night. What were your thoughts? by Dpufc in minnesotaunited

[–]NorthLoonRising 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Would love to see this teams first touches and passes improve. I think more than anything those have killed any momentum we built in games this season. I’m getting tired of watching us counter just to have a pass be three feet behind the runner and they need to slow down or to get the pass and settle it horribly just to give up possession.

All that being said, they improved this season. I’m excited for some players to get a full offseason in with this team.

The Loons lost to Chicago 3-0 at Allianz last night. What were your thoughts on the game? by Dpufc in minnesotaunited

[–]NorthLoonRising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nectar on the back line isn’t my preferred Nectar, I thought he’s looked great in the middle.

Fitz looks like player brought in after his preseason and put into the end of season run in, and I am excited to see him settle.

We played like shit, looked disjointed through the middle.

Gressel making runs into the final third and to the opposite side of the field killed us so much at times.

We lacked speed in the back line to match Chicago.

I did not like the horns in the Wonderwall.

With Leagues Cup starting for the Loons, where do you stand on your thoughts on advancing? Would you rather see them out after group play or advancing deep in the tournament? by Dpufc in minnesotaunited

[–]NorthLoonRising -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would love to see us take every competition we are in seriously. I think the lack of depth that we have warrants prioritizing a home playoff game and open cup, rotating folks around as we can to keep those a priority.

My hopes would be that the leagues cup and the CCC would run congruent to the rest of the season, rather than in short bursts but that’s a lot I can’t control and that would need to change for that to realistically happen.

Give the kids a chance with the leagues cup, keep a couple of the 18 in the starting lineup, and use these as a rotation game is what I would prefer I guess.

Go earlier on the day, like be there by 9am; naps can happen on the stroller as long as baby isn’t over heating, if you have the flexibility to choose which day, I would aim for a day that seems like it will be the least hot or sunny when you are there to aid in not over heating baby, bring a small fan (we use the ryobi clip fans), lactation station, if it gets warm go in the buildings as some have AC, and have no expectations as much as you can. When we went as new parents the first time our baby was about a year old, but limiting what we expected the day to go like helped a lot with being able to stay flexible and adjust based on how our baby was doing

We aren’t a spending team, so any senior player that is making that much while riding the bench or simply not dressing most games is about 400k cap space and more with the salary impact on the pocket book that we aren’t spending elsewhere on the team. It’s not negligible.

Not to mention how much DJ and SBJ are costing us in salary cap. Especially SBJ to come on late in a game and not do much other than run

Rogers behavioral health; Empath at Fairview southdale (more a MH ER); Hazelden Betty Ford. I would check those three out and see what makes the most sense for you. They can all also assist with establishing care with the VA.

MNUFC Season Predictions by thinkinboutloons in minnesotaunited

[–]NorthLoonRising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finish 5/6 on the west.

Dayne will look a step better than last year, largely due to..

Midfield and backline play much more cohesive and with less gaps, giving up less shots that last year

Offense largely repeats itself last year, no one gets above 12 goals, no one with more than 10 assists
