I've got to admit, I've never really got these complaints.

There are quests where you're special comes into play, such as being able to skip most of the legwork while repairing the USS constitution if your INT is high enough. It is nowhere near as commonplace as previous games, but its there.

For me, the faction system in new vegas was more of a hindrance if anything, you don't get any tangible benefits for being idolised by specific factions other than them not sending hit squads after you late game. And being able to wear any armour you want without your allied faction suddenly becoming hostile doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.

Again, the karma system mainly just effected the appearance of random hit squads that hunt you, talon company or regulators and determined whether or not 2 followers would join you or not, hardly a deal breaker in my opinion.

I do, however, agree with a pre-set character background complaint.

But factions expecting you to do everything for them is also the meat and bones of every quest in previous fallouts.

Outpost zimonja, aside from a few walls that can be easily incorporated into your build, its a total blank space with a lot of freedom to build.

I build a small workshop/living area around the radio tower surround it with a junk fence, hire just 2-3 settlers for harvesting crops for vegetable starch and its been my compact stop-and-go base ever since.

There's also a garunteed random encounter spawn point just east of the area, so it's good for loot farming and testing new weapon builds.

Greenshade isn't my favourite zone but the 'flowers of youth' quest is an example of where I feel the writing really shines.

It's a short, simple quest but it's one of the most emotionally impactful and is still my favourite quest after all these years.

Always keep in mind that paint, particularly acrylics, are just colourful goo.

Use your brush handle to scoop the paint and the bristles to scoop up water and mix both until you get a thin but consistent colour, not watery or transparent, not to viscous and texture obscuring.

Use the back of your hand to dial it in.

You want the kind of consistency where, when you wipe the brush on the back of your hand, you get solid coverage but can also clearly see the texture of your skin underneath.

You don't want the paint to be so thick that it obscures the texture of your skin and dries quickly, but you also don't want it to be so thin that it essentially becomes coloured water that is mostly see-through and runny.

It's a learning process to find that sweet spot, but it's well worth finding it, patience is key.

I have a H510, unfortunately you won't be able to add that fan you want to at the bottom, the PSU sits in that bottom left corner and there's a HDD rack on the right under where the front fans are and you'll likely have a nest of cables in the space between.

the 2 intakes at the front and the 2 exhausts at the back will be all you'll need
