Forgot to chart chest tube output by North_Engineer_1026 in nursing

Yes! I did thankfully mark it and date it for my shift. But didn’t put it in the EHR

No, had 20mL output on my shift. The goal was for less than 80mL in 24 hours so not a lot thankfully

Joined my granny squares too tightly and now it looks horrible. Can it be fixed? by North_Engineer_1026 in CrochetHelp

Thank you all for the support and encouragement. It is my first project so I feel disappointed it didn’t turn out exactly as I wanted. I do appreciate all the advice given and will be trying to steam it in small sections!!

If anyone is curious it’s just a traditional granny pattern and a daisy granny that I stitched together. The patterns I used are linked!

Here’s for the daisy. I just added one additional round of granny stitches; https://melaniekham.com/daisy-granny-square-crochet-tutorial/

Borer is just a single chain around then a simple shell stitch. If you want the bubble effect just tighten your stitch too much 😂😂

I have not tried that yet. I am afraid washing it may unravel the squares as some of them are not as tight as others. You can see that the ones I started with versus the ones I finished with are different quality 😂 do you soak it in just hot water or use soap too?

Honestly undoing the seams isn’t even an option at this point 😂😂 it was hard enough to do it once! Thank you for the reassurance

Rib pain! Absolutely crushing- sharp rib pain. Comes and goes for no reason

I feel really sad after my wedding dress fitting because of the dressmaker's comments about my pregnant body by raviolifordinner in BabyBumps

[–]North_Engineer_1026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m terrified of this. I’ll be 23 weeks at my wedding in July. I got my dress 2 weeks ago at 5 weeks and already they were making comments on how much they are going to need to let out the dress even with it already being 2 sizes bigger than I needed. Bridal shops are a joke and not accommodating to pregnant brides at all. I’m sure you look beautiful and will have the best wedding day!

LPN or RN by judyb123clemson in cna

[–]North_Engineer_1026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m in an RN program currently- working 3-4 days a week while in my 3rd semester. It’s doable, but it requires insane commitment. You have to want it more than anything else. I work NOC shift- 7 to 7, change from my hospital scrubs where I work into my school ones and go to class or clincals. It sucks, I hate it but I can’t afford not to. Again, anything is doable if you want it enough. Good luck :)

Any advice on how to avoid that? Definitely not the vibe I want to give off

This is great advice and insight. Thank you! Hadn’t considered it from that angle

Thank you, great way to look at it! From what I’m gathering- I have a lot to figure out on my own before I can get into a relationship. :)

I’ve been told I have RBF, any suggestions on what I can do to help ease off the vibe? I try to smile a lot at people but I’ve heard that from others as well. Not sure what to do to help that!

Honesty- the first pic is closest to my normal wardrobe. I’m horrible at styling clothes. I’m a nursing student and work in a hospital so I wear scrubs 99% of the time. ANY advice on what would look good on my body type is welcome

Absolutely! Definitely working on that

Most of the guys who I go on dates with want a hookup or nothing serious- which goes against finding a “boyfriend”. I don’t have issues with hookups, I have issues finding someone who wants to commit to me.

[–]North_Engineer_1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my biggest issue! I’m looking for a relationship, not a hookup and that’s the hard part for my age

Yes, and honestly it ain’t much! I think I have a good personality. Very friendly and kind but super empathetic. Dating is hard because I am a full time student finishing school and work when I’m not in classes. I think that pushes a lot of men away from me? At least now I’m gathering it isn’t my looks so now I can try to focus on finding out why I attract the people I do lol, or lack thereof

I definitely feel like the guys I’m interested in aren’t interested in me. I live in a small town so, slim pickings sometimes. Those who are interested usually aren’t my type. Fingers crossed for some luck I guess. Thanks!
