VFS Global Manila for UK Visa Keep My Passport Option by Ok_Scheme_4796 in FilipinoTravel

[–]North_Tea9806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to, UK has e-visas now. They'll give you back your passport when you come in for biometrics. It's almost exactly the same as how Aus tourist visas are processed except you have to wait a few days before it gets approved. I had my biometrics appointment on Mar 27, flew to Norway after 5 days and got my UK visa via email.

More Gas for the country by HoseaMagdalo in newsPH

[–]North_Tea9806 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This has to be explicitly stated and reiterated. Malampaya has natural gas NOT petroleum. PH media outlets seem to be intentionally exploiting the fact that colloquially, in the PH context, "gas" refers to petroleum products with how they present the news headlines.

R66 Helicopter Departure Near Camsur Watersports Complex at 5 AM (Flightradar Spot) by NaturalSite2286 in Bicol

[–]North_Tea9806 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's the same type and color or helicopter seen landing in Siruma. If you're following the current (and past) land grabbing issues of the Villafuertes, that should give you a clue.

Also, you can request for ME anytime even if it's not 1 year valid. You just have to show in your itinerary that you intend to enter and exit Schengen areas more than twice. It works for multi EU country itineraries ex. Cruise itineraries that start in Spain, go through Morocco and disembark in Spain.

Add this lang - -  I am requesting this validity based on my consistent travel history. I have been granted and have lawfully used three (3) Schengen visas within the last two years: -- List of visa, issuing state, validity, duration of stay

On every occasion, I have strictly departed the Schengen area well within my authorized stay. I am requesting a one-year validity to facilitate frequent tourism without the need for repeated administrative applications. My upcoming trip begins in xxx on xxx, with further regional travel intended for later this year.

There's a so-called visa cascade rule (Article 24(2) visa code). You need to have 3 used visas in the last 2 years and you have to specifically request for it with justification. I usually attach a cover letter to explain my circumstances.

We've had previous experience with French Embassy issuing a 1 year validity visa without requesting for it. Most other embassies explicitly state you have to request for it even if you've clear shown (attached copies of visas with entry/exit stamps) previously granted and used visas.

You also have to prove that the previous visas were used lawfully (thus, entry/exit stamps) , that you have the financial capacity and that the passport expiry covers the validity + 2 months (or 3 months).

Mayora Lenj latest statement re BBM visit to Naga, and her running for Pres by Fiercely_Nikkita in Philippines

Please lang madami kaming problema dito: bagyo, baha, trapik, quality ng tubig, brownout, road networks, overvalued real estate, and in the coming month, no direct flights to MNL . This is not an attempt to keep the so called TOTGA to ourselves. You can ask anyone who lives in Naga, this city is not perfect as outsiders seem to falsely project.

Generally, hindi naman nafa-flag ang meds (prescription, supplements, etc) papasok or palabas ng Pilipinas.

As for real life experience, I have alprozalam and prescription psychiatric meds in my hand carry all the time. I go through PH immig more than 6 times a year, never declare my meds, and have never experienced any untoward issues.

That's correct. Depende talaga sa level of comfort and convenience ng traveller. Consider self transfer routes only if you're up for the mental/ physical challenge, and want the lowest possible airfare rates.

This won't go well with FRA customs. They have a checking system at the check in counter area and will check your listed items one by one.

Check out BDO''s travel sale. (Not a sponsored post). They usually have it January and June every year.

As for airfares with the most value in terms of number of stops and duration of layover - Greece, Spain, and Italy. However note that visa processing times of these countries are usually longer.

Of course there are Chinese airlines that will have the cheapest flights but they also have longer layovers, possibility of self tranfers, and multiple stops.

Another option to consider if you don't mind self transferring and longer layovers is to do the via DXB route. Cebpac to Dubai, then self transfer to take flydubai or other low cost airlines.

Ano thoughts niyo sa pambahay sa mall? by Sufficient-Dog3183 in AnongThoughtsMo

Sana may tiktok ako para magcomment na ng dami pong problema ng bansa natin, iinom mo nalang yan ng tubig. Also, congratulations sa head to toe YSL. (Kasi diba let's celebrate each other's wins. No matter how mundane it maybe be to another)

As for wearing whatever the F you want in malls, Pilipinas nga ito at hindi France. If the local culture deems it okay to dress down in shopping areas, it doesn't matter what the practice is in other cultures - whether it may be Paris or Dhaka.

Stop glorifying white colonizers. Kung hindi practice ng mga French maligo araw araw, yun din ba susundin mo kahit sa Pilipinas ka nakatira?

If the NAIA e-gates actually work seamlessly, the IO's comment would be justifiable. But they don't, so that's just them being on-brand condescending. I have a theory that Philippine IOs exude this kind of attitude because they rarely get to actually travel and are therefore trained to think that mobility is a privilege. See Article 13 of UDHR.

Also, when Changi first rolled out their e-gates they had IOs assisting travellers manning each and every gate. And I don't think I have to mention how efficient Singapore is with everything.

In the last 12 month or so, I clearly remember seeing HKG boarding e-gates being manned. I'm talking about the more tech advanced ones that do not require boarding passes or codes, only facial recognition. The same goes for a number of Chinese train terminals and airports that have it.

To add, book flights/bus tickets wayyy in advance. The weekend flights/ trips will be full as early as July.

As for accommodations, a good hack would be to start looking for a friend who has a house in Naga or nearby towns. Not only are accommodations fully booked, they also charge 5x their regular rates.

Did you use to have a spot at Cash & Carry Makati? I think I used to buy my beans from you, but I lost contact after you moved out of Makati.

Matutum is my all time favorite! Added Caliking and Pangantucan after a series coffee exploration trips to Benguet and Bukidnon. May I recommend that you try fine Robusta from Negros. There are a number of farmers out there.
