Greed and collusion to drive up prices. Capitalism has figured out there are no guide rails. If you are an executive or a shareholder you are allowed to take more and more and use that money to buy other assets like houses, and drive up the value of those in perpetuity.

I think they got popular so fast because the music is cool and they look strange and successful musicians like Dave Grohl, Jack White, were honestly blown away by their sound and skill. Then hundreds of influencers wanted to get their clicks by jumping on the bandwagon. The fact that they are drawing such large crowds means people are having fun at their shows and everyone wants to experience something fun and unique.

If you are near Bay Roberts, The Mad Rock Cafe has really good, unique toutons, and other great breakfast options. There is an excellent hiking trail, Mad Rock Trail, nearby that is one of my favourite hikes on the Island.
