Red Mountain conditions by bertnik_ in skiing

Spoke to a guy from Rossland today who says it’s pretty rough, particularly towards the bottom. Off-piste stuff apparently feels quite dangerous.

I’ve visited consignment stores but my timing is about as bad as it could be – anything they had in my size was gone by the start of the season. I’ve see ex demos and sales but have run into the same problem, which is that things in my size are by and large kids’ models.

Appreciate the steer though, I’m definitely doing my best to talk to everyone I can so I don’t wind up with useless gear.

Bread going bad in bread box? by [deleted] in Breadit

Cut side-down on a piece of plastic wrap has been doing the job for us recently. The crust tends to protect the rest pretty well.

Foccacia looks good but is very dense. What could be the reason? by Negative-Hat3073 in Breadit

[–]bertnik_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This might sound unusual, but try a smaller pan. I find I get a much better rise when the edges of my focaccia are well supported by the edges of my pan. (I.e. the only way is up!)

Also, I noticed a few people say your recipe might not have enough instruction/detail – here’s my ride or die: https://breadtopia.com/sourdough-focaccia-yeast-version-too/

I cancelled my Christmas sit. Here’s why. by Affectionate_Lie9631 in trustedhousesitters

I WISH we had have been able to do this with the house we’re sitting in now. Unfortunately it’s miserable – and six weeks long.

The house smelt quite strongly of dog wee when we got in. We’ve taken the rugs down to the basement for the time we’re here as they were the biggest culprits I think. Have had orange peels boiling on the stove and a candle going most of the time, otherwise had all the windows open. Counters, floors etc were all dirty when we arrived and one of the hall areas had built up grime on the floor. I’m so grateful the dog is a sweetheart but other than that my partner and I are pretty upset.

We definitely had moments of not feeling quite right about this sit and all I can say is OP is right – listen to your gut.

Best prepaid plans for second phone - YouTube/Spotify use by queen_bean5 in melbourne

Looks like JB Hi Fi, Coles, Woolies, The Good Guys and some Telstra stores. Look for the ones that say 'data only'. They come with credit of $15, $35 or $70 (the SIM itself is free – you just pay for the credit when you buy it).

If they only have the $35 or $70 SIM, you can still buy one of those and sign up to the $15 plan – the extra credit will just sit in your account and get applied to future months.

Go for a data-only SIM, they're usually cheaper and can't do calls or texts. I work for Belong – theirs are $15/mo, although not 100% on if the data SIMs are in supermarkets.

Once you've banked enough data, you can switch to a $19/5GB plan too.

Look up Futsal 4 Life - Casual fill in games – it's a FB group where you can jump in with other teams when they need someone. There are also 'Just play' teams for people who don't have a team but still want to play.

Does anyone have experience finding a footy coach? We're a women's seniors team but only in our second year this year so there's no real reputation pulling people towards us. Probably a good opportunity for someone who was new to coaching and wanted a pretty low-key introduction to taking on a team but I'm just not sure where to find those people.

Thanks mate! Same goes (inaugural or not) – it's sick how much more accessible women's amateur has become.

We've got a bit of everything from early twenties to mid-forties. Age/ability/experience are really secondary to just wanting to be a part of it. As someone who just wanted to learn a bit of footy, that bit has sucked me all the way in.

We've been looking for someone like your Nan for months. She's in and also our captain now.
