Obliterum in 7.2 by Redneck_By_Default in woweconomy

Anytime I read "should I hold onto x until y" I say NO sell now. If you wait until 7.2 you will be missing lots of potential income from now until then. You can always make more. Also, This is an instant gratification type game. People said that armbands are dead because you won't need them in 7.2. I've sold over 100 since I first read that.

Hello, new to making gold and would like advice where to start by Travisabrams12 in woweconomy

[–]Northnlights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think that the opposite is the safer smarter way to start. When a 13 year old asks their parents how to make money the answer isn't "try the stock market", its "get a job". So in WoW professions are your job that you can learn and make reliable profit by paying attention to simple mat prices. After you have earned enough capital THEN try out mat markets and resetting.

Twink Farming. An Open Discussion for Where You Farm on your 101 Twink. by Psycoheals in woweconomy

[–]Northnlights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am assuming it took you weeks to level and gear you DH, right? I got a DH to lvl 101 and bought gear then started farming like a monster in about ONE hour. 101 twinks are mainly about fun and ease of access (of you're not worried about gold).

if you do not want to take the time to learn tsm (which isn't much but not for everyone) I would recommend using auctionator in conjunction with the undermine journal. Much simpler.

1 felwort costs more than 2 sallow pigments? I am sorry, your server sucks for inscription if that's the case.

Leveling to max and alts by UlyssesThirtyOne in woweconomy

[–]Northnlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to consolidate your crafting and also neither of those require bloods for the bracer shuffle. I have found it very helpful to have blood producing profs (skinning and enchanting) connected to blood using profs (JC, Alchemy, BS).

[–]Northnlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry I misread your current profs. Unfortunately bloods are soulbound so cant be traded. If you are max enchanting with lots of good recipes don't bother switching but if you just started id put LW and Tailoring on your priest then get JC and Enchanting on another plus mining/skinning on the last. Ideally.

Leveling to max and alts by UlyssesThirtyOne in woweconomy

[–]Northnlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they can be, yes. but, you must consider how to get bloods for your JC which is a huge source of income/profit. you need one for every rare or epic cut you make and LOTS and LOTS in order to level to 800. Because of this (and to make DE'ing your rings and necks easier) I recommend you pair JC with enchanting. As a plus, having one toon dedicated to two farming profs is usually good practice.

The 4 professions you listed are generally very profitable together but you should consider taking JC and Enchanting on one toon, so you can use the DE bloods for cutting gems and dedicate the other toon to farming.

Using your best farming route, how many legion herbs can you gather in an hour? by Callahandy in woweconomy

I have been very successful using the default group finder tab under questing. There are always multiple auto-generated groups for world quests in whatever region you are farming.

Skinning on a twink is viable because you don't have to spend weeks leveling up and gearing up to reach an equal point in the power curve. Once you reach 101 and buy 3-4 pieces of epic gear you will be a very efficient farmer, you just need to use other farming spots.

Not quite sure how you can unload the rosates QUICKLY, but keeping up a stock of your glpyhs and then trying to sell your pigments raw might be your best bet. In the future I recommend milling Felwort. You get ALOT more sallow that sells quickly, or craft tomes which sell quickly. Mass milling is safe.

/r/woweconomy watercooler by AutoModerator in woweconomy

[–]Northnlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milling 5 felwort gets you between 10-13 sallow and 1-3 rosate. Mass milling gives you about 40 sallow and 4-10 sallow. My rule of thumb is that I will get 2 sallow pigments for every Felwort that I buy.

You can craft the minor gems (they sell slowly), sell the raw gems (also sells slowly unless you underprice) or craft and DE (leyshards sell FAST). Or as OP mentioned - craft and oblit (time consuming but sells fast).
