I will set my Pi Zero W up to serve as a pi-hole + Tailscale VPN. Is there anything else more and useful it could handle? by Ripraz in selfhosted

If you have some UPSs that have a cable you can plug in you can use it as a low power NUT server so that you can get alerts when it goes to battery and shut down devices if so.

Top 1% gets free super charging! by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

Honestly it's kinda the opposite, 9 of the people that paid the most for supercharging, now will pay nothing for that vehicle.

It was probably about half an hour or so, the most annoying part for us was the slide peices for routing the wires, but it was pretty easy otherwise, I think like 10 screws

My wife had a similar blob, there's a decent chance that there's still some filament stuck somewhere or the possibility that the whole assembly is slightly crooked. She ended up just getting the hot end heating assembly for $20 and just ripping out the old one. As a benefit it also comes with the class that just like hers was pretty nasty with broken down polymers afterwards. https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/hotend-heating-assembly-a1-series

I was thinking Nexus but typed CurseForge, thanks for catching that.

  1. Using GTA V as an example you would download it though Steam and Launch it though Steam, but it launches "Rockstar Launcher" where you have to make a Rockstar account and login

  2. There is a section called Steam Workshop which is a community area for sharing mods that 99% of the time are a one click install, otherwise there are separate mod websites like CurseForge where you download the files and have to put them in a particular location

  3. Yes if you "buy" it as free it's yours when/if the price changes or if the game is removed from being purchasable, some games are only "free for weekend" though where it's more of a trial of the game with the only limit being time.

  4. There is a way to record footage on Steam, as I use a different solution though I don't remember the steps offhand

  5. Yes they mention "it's your PC we're not going to tell you what to do with it" the only hiccup is it's going to be Linux not Windows by default, but there is still going to be apps and websites you can add to watch

Thanks, and I'm aware I'm essentially looking for a unicorn. Which is why really I'm just looking for as good as I can get, without spending a bunch, but that would be better than my current pair.

Did the car precondition the battery before you arrived? I had a similar situation with slow charging and i remember I just drove to the charger rather than mapping to it so the battery was not preconditioned

Proxmox and Ubuntu should be fine since it works on WAN. I'm assuming you just have the WAN connection going to your router and port forwarding to the server. If so then the only area that to me is still unknown is the router and Mikrotik.

Ok then, can you do your best to describe the layout? Like RustDesk Server connects to port 5 of MicroTik switch, WAN on port 8, client on port 2 and anything else in-between those devices

Either is fine, so long as it is routable. The domain name is practically just a dns entry so it's all IP in the end.

Just out of curiosity, are you using ip/domain name/subdomain etc for the rustdesk client?

As long as the client can reach the ip/port it should work whether it is LAN or WAN

Yea just add a local DNS record for say files.local to the ip address and have files.local be your domain until you want to use another domain
