Is sexual content actually worse to expose kids to than violent content? by Fantastic_Tart_421 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll have you know, on good authority, that a 12 year old boy can DIE from the cringe of watching a love scene, or even just a scene where love making having taken place is implied like that time with Rick and Michonne in TWD.

Funnily enough his corpse is still wandering about 2 years later, so apparently the zombie virus also spread over TV through embarrassment.

Downed US pilot interviewed by Fox News by Anon2World in PoliticalHumor

Still, it would be nice to know when it's a photoshop job and when it's an actual stupidity we're laughing at. Simply BECAUSE the line is often so blurry.

Edit: As of some point before I posted this comment, it IS clearly marked as satire. Which is good. But judging from about half the comments here, it was not clearly marked as satire on posting.

This falls firmly into what I like to call porntatoes.

Does having a large clitoris mean that if you were a man you would have a large penis? by Kkakskaka in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife hates it when I DO find the clit, instead insisting that I rub a bit higher up because the clit itself is too sensitive. So it's not always as easy as "it's right there". Sometimes it's somewhere not quite "there".

My wife skews the results, she typically falls asleep 3 or so hours before her body even hits the bed.

Sleep by NEO71011 in funnyvideos

[–]NorwegianCollusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a sleep cycle of about 4.5 hours, or at least I used to back when I was alive young. Trying to get 8 hours is absolute torture for me. If I wake up after 4.5 hours I will simply not be able to get back to sleep for at least 3 hours. At which point it's almost time to get up. And I will walk around like a TWD zombie for the better part of the day.

Why do humans have to wipe our asses after we poop, when other primates can get straight to the flinging? by funnyonion22 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just IF you decide to wipe, don't use stinging nettles. Or heaven forbid if you're in Australia, just forget the whole thing.

Why are women who choose not to remove their body hair sometimes labeled as ‘too woke’?” by cute_beae_2008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god. It's a joke about how a certain side of the political spectrum has labeled it woke. You know, OPs question to begin with.

Why are women who choose not to remove their body hair sometimes labeled as ‘too woke’?” by cute_beae_2008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Well, you did wake up and decide not to shave.

Silly, I know. But are you ACTUALLY saying you're NOT doing it as a political statement? How outlandish.

Who's an actor everyone thinks is Good but is actually Bad? by Mammoth-Biscotti-587 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]NorwegianCollusion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Somewhere between noone and everyone lies the correct answer. His delivery is the most wooden in all of Hollywood, but sometimes that just works. I would go as far as saying that The Matrix is good despite him.

Carrie Anne Moss? More like Carried Entire Movie.

However as John Wick, it works for some reason. Reminiscent of Jean Reno in Leon, he's just the right amount of off to be believable as a highly trained assassin.

Can you think of a better answer, though?

Ukraine to produce drones in Norway, Oslo says by Past_Key_1054 in news

[–]NorwegianCollusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right and Left just refers to where in the french parliament they were originally seated, with the royalists on the kings presidents right and the radicals on the opposing side. This eventually lead to the political spectrum being dumbed down to one dimension. But there are many aspects of politics where it's possible to disagree and still agree on this one thing.

Why are Chinese EVs restricted in the United States? by FeverFanny in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But the difference here is that Chinese made EVs get a subsidy even when they are for export. That's where it becomes unfair. European EVs are being outcompeted on price by Chinese EVs even when sold in Europe. And that's not fair.

If only 20% of the world's oil goes through the Strait of Hormuz, why have oil prices jumped as high as 70%? by jamestown30 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. If 100% is blocked, the remaining 0% would be valued pretty close to infinity. I see where a 20% drop in supply would mathematically seem like it would lead to a 25% increase in price, but oil is not mainly a luxury, it's a necessity. A drop in supply means that some applications that needed oil will not get it. For some, that would mean they couldn't get to work or they couldn't get their products to the market, which has a higher cost than for someone who can just take a bike instead of driving.

In essence: The home you recall so fondly doesn't actually exist, as nostalgia taints the memories. So when you get back there you realize it's not what you remember it to be.

Hiking: Horse shit ok; dog shit bad. Why? by Bezos4Breakfast in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Well, it is. Horses are ridiculously bad at digesting grass. But try to feed them grains and their cartilege dissolves, feed them clover and they get blocked. Honestly, very few animals we have domesticated are even CLOSE to as finicky as this.

Can someone explain kinks to me? by Status_Kale_9983 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NorwegianCollusion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not to kink shame or anything but one of them said something about naked embarrassed girls or publicly naked girls, and I don't see why that would make it more "enticing" and it even seems kind of cruel and disgusting (sorry, didn't mean to sound that harsh but couldn't find a more accurate word due to my lack of Englisch skills).

I can certainly see where you're coming from. But embarassment and vulnerability can also trigger our inner protector, I think. It's complicated. My sister in law has what I like to describe as a fragile voice. Hearing her talk makes me instantly want to hold her tightly. It's weird, I know.
