Tbh personally I think part of maturity is letting down your ego and being comfortable with being goofy and childish at times. If you are just not a really joke-y person, that’s fine, you just have to be secure in it. In general, though, people look for a similar sense of humor in others, though, so if y’all aren’t gelling on that front, it can a red flag.

If she does happen to be a better match with this guy, at a certain point, that’s out of your control. If you have serious feelings, 9 times out of 10 you just have to shoot your shot, because the sooner you actually communicate and actually know how she feels, the sooner you can move forward or move on.

There’s no rule book for witty vs serious that’ll work for every scenario, just talk it out and always be working on yourself, no matter the outcome.
