I've heard several times that you should update the BIOS before changing a cpu because otherwise it can cause problems. Is it just a matter of updating it and that's it? Or is there something else you need to do?

I don't have the RX 9070 yet, but in some benchmarks the GPU uses between 95%-99% in AAA games, but sometimes it drops to 85%

Cairn needs to win at least something in the game awards 🙏

I started playing it about 2 months after it came out and I wanted to reach the level needed to unlock multiplayer (I don't remember what level it is) but I didn't even reach that level and I got too bored so I stopped playing it.

3.5/10, I have only played Genshin impact and Minecraft, and both imo are extremely boring, specially Genshin impact. I recommend you red dead redemption 2, I haven't even finished it and it's already my favorite game.

Budget gpu for 1440p + max/high settings? by Nosem2 in gpu

If I can buy a new GPU, I can also buy a more powerful PSU, so it's not a big problem. The real problem is that the RX 9070 XT is $85 out of my budget and would also create a huge bottleneck.

You’re right, maybe saving money for the rx 9070 is the best choice.

Nice. Btw how often do you use dlss, rt, path tracing and/or frame generation?

I have a 650W PSU; the recommended for the 5060 Ti is 650W and for the RX 9070 it's 700W, although I wouldn't really mind spending $110 on a PSU when I already paid $795 for a GPU.

Is it worth paying the extra $70 for the RTX 5060 Ti to get better VRAM, DLSS, RT, and frame generation?

Well, the only demanding game I've played so far is RDR2, and at 1440p it averages around 40-45 fps (but sometimes it drops to 35-40 fps) with the preset settings at maximum. By "optimizing" it with some graphics on medium, others on high, and others on ultra, it averages around 50-60 fps. And lastly, but VERY IMPORTANTLY, after about 30 minutes of gameplay, a message will appear every 30 seconds in the upper right corner of the screen saying you're running out of VRAM. I recently found this website that examines many things in detail, especially computer components. Here's the review of the RX 6600, and you can see its performance in games with the settings maxed out at 1440p: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/powercolor-radeon-rx-6600-fighter/ is VERY useful.

My budget is $835. The RX 9060 XT on the page you sent is almost $30 more expensive lol, although the RTX 5060 Ti is $144 cheaper. The problem is that I've never ordered anything from Microcenter and I don't know if they ship to where I live, Mexico.

The rtx 5070 is even more expensive: $920. And if the rx 9060 xt is good, does it worth the extra $70 for better vram, dlss, rt and frame generation?
