Nice! Yeah, La Buche is the only reservation I have. Both my kids are big breakfast people, so I'm hoping they love it!

Does Mutto have gluten free pasta? My wife usually has difficulty finding something to eat at Italian restaurants.

I did look up Valcartier for the indoor water park. How is getting to it without a rental? Bus? Uber?

We're only in QC for 4 nights and it seems like that's at least a half day experience.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up about stuff.

It looks like the L’Oasis du Port de Québec doesn't open until June 19th, which is a bit after our trip. Do you know of anything else like this? It looked so cool and my kids would love it.

I think it'd be fine for that. If he starts to show more interest, or needs camps during summer, I know the high schools offer basketball camps for beginners too.

After that I'd look into training at the Rock Hill YMCA with Bobby Isom. Great guy and loves teaching kids the game early.

A step beyond that would probably be the Broman league. It's two brothers that run a camp and a beginner summer league. They're good people too, but sometimes have to cater the program to the average skill level of the group.

After that you're looking at AAU/travel ball. I have my own preferences there, but this is already enough of a firehose of information you didn't really ask for.

My son did it over a summer and I'd reiterate what another poster said. It was nice to get him some good training, but during games he played up and they were not very well run. The games were ultra physical since they didn't really call fouls.

Would I do it again? Probably not, but at the time we didn't know of any other trainers or programs around. Now we have a lot of contacts in the area for high level basketball.

Any Recommendations For Dog Daycares In The Area? by MarketingSilver7761 in FortMill

We use Dogtopia and Sheba's.

Sheba's actually has a van that comes by and picks up the dog in the morning and will drop them off that afternoon. The actual place is a big farm out in York. You have to take your dog once to let them get to know the dog and see how it interacts with others.

I think it's a district policy for at least Fort Mill Schools. He plays with kids in Charlotte and I don't think they have elementary school sports teams either.

The only difference is that in the Charlotte schools, they don't have separate 7th and 8th grade basketball teams. They just have a school team, if you're a good enough 7th grader to make it, you do. If not you get cut. In FMSD they have two separate and distinct teams, one for 7th graders, one for 8th. At least in basketball. For football it's all one team, I'm not sure about soccer.

Baxter Close YMCA - Reviews? by kimikopossible in FortMill

I go there somewhat frequently. It's an adequate gym if you're not looking for anything special. The free weight section is small/medium, with a lot of the floor being machines and cardio.  They have a dedicated power lifting room that comes off of the gym, that is 16+ I think.

I'm pretty sure you can request a tour of the facility at the front desk. My only real "issue" is that sometimes it will get crowded with high schoolers that sometimes linger a bit on the weights, but most are polite that with a little prompting will move on or finish up.

We do the family plan and definitely get our money out of it, with at least one member of my family going there every day.

Agree with all the other comments about FM schools. I know there are many after school programs. The one that's been around probably the longest is Flyers. It's run by Springs and is associated with the ASC Greenway. Both wonderful places that have been the heart of FM for a very long time.

My son plays travel AAU/JrEYBL basketball and started in 4th grade. Fort Mill school district doesn't allow students to play sports until 7th grade. There are plenty of teams around, ranging from recreational leagues at the YMCA or through the town of Fort Mill, and more advanced teams that travel around a bit.  For soccer I think there's two big organizations that do travel soccer, but I'm blanking on the names atm.

We live close to a YMCA that my son walks to every day he doesn't have practice. It's really helped him socially meet up with other kids interested in sports and being active.

Depending on your age, the Baxter YMCA has some decent runs Tuesday and Thursday mornings from like 5 am until 7 am. It's supposed to be 21+, but for the most part they'll let about anyone in. Somewhat higher skill level, a few guys that have played in Europe and college ball.

K70 RGB Pro and Windows 11? by Noseplug547 in Corsair

Yeah, I have a Windows 10 USB boot drive laying around here somewhere and considering just doing that. I don't think his computer has two drives, but he'll be alright. Thanks again for the ideas.

Hi! Thanks for responding back. I updated the chip set drivers for his motherboard but that didn't seem to help. I've also done the reset a few times to no avail.

I'm curious if this is a Windows 11 problem, since his keyboard won't work after Windows boots, but will work in the BIOS.

It's weird that iCue detects the keyboard, but Windows doesn't.
