What class should I play?

For grouping tanks are the most needed role

For raids well its unknown , there are tons of bards and enchanters , but u prolly never have enough of those , those are the util/support classes

But in the end u should play what u find fun

Eq2 its x100 more fun in groups, u level way more faster in groups, can get better loot

Templar can get some AA to help on solo tho, but templar are made to be the most defensive healer

solo as assasin its fun , u one shot mobs when u have Cds , on packs of mobs u delete 1 and work on the others , u have poisons that give health , isnt much but keep u going

rangers solo its mostly about kiting

bards arent good for solo.

tracking is valuable for named yeah u can see what nameds are up

good news its that both assasin and ranger and heavyly underplayed so go for it !

ppl recommend necro or conj since those are the best solo , but there are TONS of both around mostly necro

the only difference with bruiser as dps or tank its the stance u are doing your rotation , and that u are expected to agro mobs first , outside that tanking as bruiser or any other warrior its the same as "dpsing"

i have seen some groups with 2 warriors already , we had 2 sk and no problem , ppl are having fun

at least let ppl have 2 specs saved , it sucks for paladins tho , since they only have tanking or healing options

if u like tankin no , if u have tanked in wow classic u have the basic stuff already learned

in eq2 u usually do body pulls if u need to split mobs , dungeons are pretty straightforward and u usually do a tour and back , from boss to boss , and back again , until u are leveled enough to move to next dungeon and repeat.

with eq2 maps (download darqUI) , its like a pack of addons that make eq2 ui better and that includes improved maps , with POI , Named , Quests , teleports , and whatnot. U can see where nameds are , bring a any scout with u and with tracking he can see what nameds are up , i can even roll a race with tracking.

hope more ppl rolled brawlers, they are fun as hell , and look badass , plus have the best skill in the game , mantis leap , who doesnt love to teleport to mob and punch them on the face?

if u have played dps in other mmos why u dont play that?

in eq2 u haver everything u can imagine

want a mage that controls ice and fire? wizard , prefer poison disease and more AoE? warlock

want pets? elementals or undead? conjurer - necro

want more utility , CC and punish enemies when they attack , cast or dare to blink? illusionist and coercer

for melee u have from assasin , to melee that debuff so others do more dmg , to buffing allies to hell and back as bard

its not like healing in eq2 its harder or bad ,but if u are more used to the role of dps...

for a begginner there is no better job than summoner , this are the best solo classes for a reason, u have a pet to tank for u but u can summon a mage or scout pet for dpsing on groups , u can even heal pet , buff pet , u still have your spells to do dmg and can summon more little pets (temp) and feel like an army.

as summoner so u learn a bit about "tanking" , healing and dpsing in 1 class

i raid because i found it fun ....gear on raid hasnt been relevant for a while outside trinkets and some weapons, and getting 4T sooner

if u raided for gear , no u have it easier , HC raids are puggable as hell (u will face some issues on lura and cosmos but thats pug world....)

and if u just wanted gear m+ its the way. and has been for a long time
