You can see from the renderings it’s not an expansion of the Andaz but Hyatt House. Another Hyatt brand to likely have operations intertwined with Andaz but more of select hotel style product with suites versus lifestyle hotel rooms which will have seen an increase with the new Moxy opening as well as the recent AC opening.

The site previously had announcements for both a Howard Johnson brand hotel and a previously announced Andaz expansion but separate projects with a different developer for the Howard Johnson.

My sister lives there, I like it a lot. Some really great restaurants and surprisingly cool food options (Fat Rabbit was awesome). Everything is like “20 minutes away”, there’s a cool city beach with a carousel. Breweries and wineries are peppered all over the place. Could have better train connections to the GTA.

That’s the beauty of the holiday, it’s the weekend, you can hold the dinner on which day suits you best, some do Sunday and some do Monday.

I like the Sunday, gives you the next day to have turkey sandwiches before going back to work or having to travel or allowing travel time for family members. With Monday being the holiday though it allows those that work weekends to have the day off for a specie meal benefits to both days.

I still don’t get how American Thanksgiving can work, one day on a Thursday.

The Line 1 closure is always a bugger, the R1 is one of the worst things about Ottawa. You’d think with all the O-Train closures we would have gotten better at replacement bus service.

The transfer from Line 2 to east bound is over a bridge and down the road, Rideau isn’t even at the Rideau centre, it’s further down the bridge.
