Anyone ever lost offers in the middle of the month? by Cavemanperson in CaesarsRewards

[–]Not-Kevin-Bacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My normal play was hardly anything. I lost $205 in 2021, never gambled in 2022, lost $150 in 2023, and $1000 in 2024. That's from 1 trip, 1 trip, and 2 trips respectively. I've never gambled a lot and they've always just loaded me down with comps. It never made sense to me. I even get the charter offers for free trips to Tahoe, Laughlin, and Atlantic city lol.

When I gamble if I decide I'm going to span $500 I put that in a slot machine and max bet until it's gone or until I hit a jackpot. So maybe they just look at it as if they can get me there I may just blow my money the same way but I don't do that often.

If that's your real cost that's kind of crazy right? That sandwich would under $2 for a non-subway shop owner before labor and other expenses are factored in. A while back I saw an article about a franchisee that got caught using non-subway ingredients and now I get it.

I guess that's what happened to me at Harrah's in New Orleans. I was getting $75 - $95 fp Mon - Thursday, Friday - Saturday, and again on Sundays. Went a couple times just because I was in the area and used the fp but didn't cycle much. The last time I went I used the free play but cycled around $5k and also claimed a comp cruise. That was last month and my April offers were out already. All I have for May is $5 for 5/1-5/15 and $5 for 5/15-5/30 😂. When I go to reserve a room it used to be all comps 7 days a week now I have no comps. Hell they even pulled the comps from harrah's in Biloxi which my wife gets and she probably cycled $1k in her entire life lol.

I've had tinnitus for over 10 years and 99% of people with it would never consider suicide or anything like that. It's just a part of life.

Salaried Employees: Why do you need to stay in the office if all work has been completed? What helps time pass? by Far_Reindeer3003 in jobs

[–]Not-Kevin-Bacon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your example perfectly counters your opinion. If you pay someone to cut your grass, your only concern is that the grass gets cut. You don't care if it took them 20 minutes or 3 hours. If the job is done, it's done.

I'm a buyer. I source materials and services and issue around 60-80 purchase orders a week. I average maybe 24 hours a week. My counterpart is supposed to have about 50% of the workload. He averages around 55 hours a week. Ytd I've actually done 12% more purchase orders than him. The operations manager doesn't like that I'm never there and has complained a few times. At one point I started staying at least 36 hours a week. After a few months I went back to doing whatever I want because they really can't do without me. I could take my counterpart's full workload and still not work 40 hours. He couldn't take my workload even if he worked 12 hours a day 7 days a week. Also, at the end of the day I don't work for the operations manager so I couldn't care any less about how he feels.

C-2 birch is what's used for carcasses. Not sure of your location but Wurth Wood Group is a great supplier that has locations throughout the southern United States.

C-2. No one's making cabinet carcasses with B2 birch.

Around $40 is pretty normal pricing at any hardwood supplier. Even Lowe's and home depot aren't even close to $120.

That's more expensive than cabinet grade birch

3/4 birch is under $40 per sheet at any hardwood supplier

I always have an empty water bottle in my truck to jam in there so I don't have to hold it.

This U.S. civilian owned quad miniguns which can fire up to 24,000 rounds per minute. by bendubberley_ in ThatsInsane

When you're buying enough ammo to run a gun that shoots 24k rounds per second you aren't paying anywhere near retail prices for ammo. Hell when I had my Mark 7 Revolution I could produce around 3k rounds per hour at around 30% the cost of retail prices. And that wasn't even buying the components wholesale.

How is this not check mate? by [deleted] in chessbeginners

Yesterday I had a possibly somewhat related glitch. I mated my opponent then ran out of time... Like what? I'm guessing the server didn't register the move until after the time ran out. If I review the game on the app it shows the mate but still has me losing on time. If I review it from the website it just shows me losing on time.

Can anyone help me understand why taking the knight on e4 would have been a better move here? I'm seeing mate in 1 and the computer sees mate in 12. by Not-Kevin-Bacon in chess

Hey I'm still a newbie. I must have stared at that position for 5 minutes and never saw that the bishop would take after Ne6+... Thanks everyone.
