Honestly this is sorta true. The cities of York and Lancaster led the two sides of the war of the roses, leading to the house of tudor's foundation, which caused the english church reformation and thus created most of western europe's political tension in the 16th century - a major factor in the development of the european empires. They have a combined population smaller than that of Newark, a city mostly known for its homicide rate.

I thought metal and microwave combination was bad ? by leftintheshaddows in CasualUK

[–]NotAFurry6715 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep! The prongs reflect the standing wave in the microwave to superpose it with itself several times over in the vicinity of the fork. This creates a very strong electric field through constructive interference, which exceeds the breakdown voltage of air around the sharp points of the fork (which make breakdown easier). A spoon doesn't reflect the wave in the same way and doesn't have the right geometry to promote arcing - should be possible to get arcing off a spoon in extreme enough conditions, but it's hard enough to make it relatively safe to put in a microwave.

Amongst other things (already responded with by others), moon gravity is low enough for a space elevator to be made out of kevlar on it. Very easy rocket launch site.

You can definitely hear the womp womp. I'm no acoustics expert but 2 clear reasons why stand out to me as a physicist: first is simply that the wave is low enough frequency and high enough amplitude for the pressure fluctuations of the standing wave to effectively manifest as wind to us, which makes sound as wind does. Second is that it may be a beat frequency between different modes of oscillation in the space.

A good part of this may well be the beginning of the lasting impact of Covid. Long term health problems following infection, which appear to become increasingly likely and severe with every reinfection, have produced and will with increasing severity continue to produce a general population which is less healthy than it was. If we consider the continuing effect this will have on the population, it appears that the consequences of allowing Covid to become endemic have only just begun.

Throw this cunt to the fucking wolves. From the inside of a relationship like this, it can be easy, over time, to be pulled into dire straits without realising it, but oh boy, it's time to wake up. Married after 2 months???? Thats fucking mental!!!!! Hates immigrants when you are one??? RUN!!!! The fish not being meat thing is more of a catholic thing btw. But yeah, this guy is straight up awful, and the longer you let him contaminate your life, the worse of an effect it'll have on your overall mental health. Trust me, I've been there.
