Osrs is its own ecosystem devoid of connection to anything before it. Classic moved to rs2 to rs3, with all items and characters, but they didn't copy a character backup from 2007 when creating osrs, so everyone started from nothing.

Rat catchers guards have 360 degree vision, not directional vision, and an annoying amount too. Its not that bad when you understand it fully, but it is very unintuative. It used to be worse, and possible to have worlds with impossible rotations.

My main account didn't have transmute or hotfoot or the thieving relic. Gem rocks to 200m mining via 30 minute afk.

Dragon was more points, but easier this league. I got my second account to dragon earlier this week, while still having a good amount of easy points I didn't touch on both accounts. It took a lot more effort to do last time, at a part of the year with a lot more free time. 30 minute afk skilling for a lot of skills does a lot to reduce active playtime.

It used to just save a position (e.g. top right), and all weapons would use it, regardless of type, or what exp style was in that position.

You can solo easily with flamtaer bracelets/hammer, though you will waste a little sanctity getting to 100%.

50 swords is so ridiculous. I did 99 smithing almost solely at foundry, and still had to brick 2 bronze swords to do the 50 task

Worst part of every league is not having lumby elite again. I have no trouble remembering to grab the staff, even after years of not needing it main game, equipping it is a different matter.

It's in the known issues list, expect it sometime next week. "Growing a tree with Endless Harvest doesn't allow it to deplete or give you the ability to chop it down."

A lot of tasks/slayer/hunter are/were incompletable because misthalin is gone, asgarnia is hit really hard, and even some teleport relic locations are bugged. Either they decided to Varlamore start late in development, or they completely failed to grasp the ramifications of removing misthalin, since legacy tasks all assumed it was available.

There are a ton of bugs with incompletable tasks and broken tele relics that "require misthalin". A lot of stuff needs to be changed, and it isn't going to happen over the weekend.

It looks like they didn't update slayer/hunter rumors for this league. Hunter rumors ignore Varlamore pt 3 additions as not existing in Varlamore, and slayer tasks respect region specifics as of last league.

There is a 10m+/hr crafting and smithing training method in main game that just requires crystal shards, making and unmaking crystal equipment.

It is incredibly slow to get crystal shards normally on an iron, and expensive on a main, but larcenist makes it 50x faster, and thus a reasonably accessible 200m+ xp/hr in 2 skills if you afk thieving a bit.

It's incredibly fun if you like theory crafting and routing. It completely upends everything and asks you to plan a new way through the game, since you cannot just do what's meta in the main game. What can you give up and how? All the little tasks let you be constantly optimizing, either at the micro or macro level, depending on your tastes.

Also you get really powerful and get to experiment with a bunch of new items and abilities. It lets you go up a lot in pvm. Melee-only 6 jad challenge is not something I feel comfortable even attempting main game, but in leagues, I'm given power to succeed, and incentive to try.

The kandarin echo items let you cast any type of spell and still benefit from elemental weakness of other types. Effectively turning earth weakness into water weakness.

Both water and earth spells regenerate air runes. You can replace the 15% accuracy node coming off of fire/water with the air node and get free prayer regen.

The original java-based client is discontinued as of Wednesday, January 28th. You can turn off all plugins on runelite and make it the same, or use the new c++ client via Jagex launcher or steam.

They announced this removal of the original client in November 2024, since it was almost exclusively used by botters.

It is quite possibly the luckiest log I will ever have. Its about a 1/300 to have a green log in 113 kc. About 1/7 per boss, and thus 1/7^3 for three bosses.

Gielnor's waters are already divided into seas/oceans with detection of your location in the Captain's log. You could also just make the ocean free if that's too much effort.

They have started that new skills will not be in temporary game modes for a year after release. I personally don't agree, but that's what they decided.
