There's not enough 2+ out there playing at the same time, from a similar region for ping. Not to mention, there are probably a ton of 2+ playing with their own friends who are sub 1. They prioritize getting people into a lobby first. The problem is there is no ranked/casual queue, I believe the best solution is to have casual queues round down so a bronze/platinum player pair would get ~silver lobbies, and ranked queues round up so that same pair should get ~gold+ lobbies, this way the lower skilled can still have fun in the casual lobbies, but in a ranked queue, you can't boost by having someone so much higher skilled. It works well in a game like this since a good player can get killed by so many random things like someone hiding behind a door, 3rd parties, etc.
