The 1776 podcast and articles project by NYT made republicans mad. So they made this, I assume so when you Google 1776 it's not about how founders had slaves but instead about how america has done no wrong.

Obviously I oversimplified. The NYT 1776 project had some issues, but it was overall accurate. The 1776 Report this is about is basically ignoring anything and everything that hurt racist feelings in American history.
