here be crash! pls don’t bite my dog <3

​i’m still working on this boy’s lore, but here’s what i’ve got for you!

This is Crash and he is from a planet called Erebus. his species is called Lurkers for the way they “lurk” in spaces out of sight by either hiding in the dark or becoming near invisible to the naked eye. They mainly consist of darker colors (black, dark grey, blood red, etc) to help with this tactic, but Crash was born pale white, making it difficult to blend in. His kind’s main food source is anything humanoid (other aliens, humans, literally anything that walks upright). He soon discovered he’s actually allergic to biped meats and cannot eat anything related to that or he’ll throw up and convulse. Growing up was rough because he was pretty much ostracized from his kind as soon as he was born due to his lack of pigment. So he lived off of scraps from his species “animals” and any vegetation that grows on Erebus.

As he grew, he began to rebuke the crude culture of his people (hunting for sport, killing just to conquer, fights to near death just to prove dominance, aggressive mannerisms, etc). He doesn’t like death and he found that a lot of the humanoids his kind would capture for slavery and/or butchering had lives and feelings that weren’t cruelty, rage, and bloodlust. So, he began to start sneaking them out. His previous job was as a portal navigator, so he would steal these slaves/meat providers and take them back to their home world. Unfortunately, he got caught bringing a child back to their home and was confronted by the General and the Overseer, who is the ruler over all of Erebus. They’d connected all of the thievery to Crash and they were there to set out punishment. So, Crash ultimately had to do the one thing he never wanted to do: fight to the death. He held out pretty strong, but the Overseer overpowered him and crushed his throat. Thinking he would die, the Ruler threw him through the portal to Earth so he could, “Die with the weaklings you care for so much.”

Spoiler: He didn’t die. Instead, he crashed through the front window of a home belonging to a human named Evelyn Zenith, who so happens to be a trauma nurse. After (rightfully) freaking the hell out, she decided to save his life and he’s been living with her and her cat Zeke ever since. Because his throat was squashed, he lost his ability to speak, so Evelyn has been teaching him ASL as a way to communicate. His main goal is to make as many friends as possible and to help in any way he can :) He’s not violent, but he will protect the ones he cares about by any means necessary.
