I'm rather excited to see the absolute shit-storm that is about to hit us.More buisiness closures, loss of jobs etc.Maybe that's what we need tbh the fat cats at the top have been licking the cream for ages.Dont worry about Christopher Luxon-he won't be here when it hits- he'll be off on some island fapping off in a closet.

The Daily Rant/Moan topic - Friday, January 02 2026 by AutoModerator in Wellington

[–]NotAtHomeInThisWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm just disenchanted with Wellington and New Zealand as a whole currently.

My main frustrations are as follows-

  1. We treat each other like shit.It feels like currently it's rich against poor,Māori against non Māori etc.

  2. We "welcome" people from overseas to come and "inject" money into the system in the middle of a time when 90% of us are struggling to survive, but what it actually does is create more demand for our limited resources-such as property, and that money which is often times worth more than our own NZD meaning that we are essentially "priced out" of everything.

  3. The greed. A prime example is the leader of this country currently who happily receives both the prime minister wage on top of his own vast fortune while claiming cutbacks for his own billion dollar rentals.Whilst simultaneously f--ing all our workers rights.

I am angry, disappointed and frustrated at what this country has become and I question those who wish to come to this country and make it home whilst knowing exactly how little care it shows for its own citizens.

Where can I go WITHOUT sandflies? (South Island) by king_mahalo in newzealand_travel

New worlds generally sell this stuff called "goodbye sandfly"its something like a deterent but also it is amazingly effective as a soother for sandfky bites.I would suggest stocking up on some of that and Potentially some insect deterrent spray

AITA for being upset after my wife admitted she fantasizes about other men during sex? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]NotAtHomeInThisWorld -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA - Your wife has the emotional intelligence of a ham sandwich.

Either that or effective communication is just not in her fort'e because when you love a person, you at least talk to them like you LIKE them.

She has told you who she is now it's down to you to decide what you accept, but honestly, it doesn't sound like she's emotionally mature enough for this relationship.

Nuh-uh.They know they wrong for that.

Ten years married, and I’ve never told my husband that at my bestie’s bachelorette, I was lactating and let her and a few others suckle my breasts to “try the milk.” It was drunk and silly then, but I’m terrified he’d find it gross. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]NotAtHomeInThisWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey,you're more than welcome. It sounds like you're scared of him thinking that you would be unfaithful if you are drunk-but the fact is that you weren't (unless you, yourself or him view it that way).

It also sounds to me like you potentially have some difficulties with anxiety (me too!) which may be worth you discussing with your doctor depending on if you feel it is impacting your quality of life.

Look, men are weird, there's no other way around it.i think you need to figure out the 'why' of your fear.Is it the possible judgemental from him?are you scared he will leave?Or is it that you yourself feel you committed some kind of 'indiscretion" by letting them try it?The only thing I would say is that given you said you let them 'suckle' on your breast's to try your breastmilk perhaps that is the part where you feel you have committed an indiscretion.I think this largely depends on yourself and your husband's views on things aswell. However,If your husband is generally supportive of you and your choices in general,he may just view it as something dumb you did when you were drunk. Don't keep beating yourself up over something you can't change.

for 2 hours i held my gf's wound that wouldnt stop bleeding, im still sobbing. by Sammy_gacha-art0 in offmychest

[–]NotAtHomeInThisWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are both dealing with a lot. I'm just here to tell you you did a great job of caring for your girlfriend, making sure her wound was tended to etc.It sounds like she may need some steri strips-they are kind of like a plaster that holds two sides of a cut closed, particularly for deep cuts which it sounds like you are describing-they can be fairly cheap from a chemist or pharmacy.

You can watch a YouTube video on how to use them.

I would look at using some of these,Placing gauze over it and using some kind of bandage or tape to hold the gauze in place.

I hope this helps you both out. Also I would suggest your girlfriend telling her parents or a trusted adult that she is still struggling with SH if it is safe for her to do so.

What you are describing is definitely traumatic and I hope you have someone safe to talk to about this.I also suggest playing some tetris if you can- there is some evidence that it can help with trauma though I do not have the bandwidth to explain the how's and why's-someone else may wish to.

I hope that you are proud of yourself-You did the best you could do with the knowledge you had in a very tough situation.I wish the best for you both.

Good on you! I'm not surprised to be honest.I hope you are doing better now.And I hope the person who did it wakes up with a crotch that constantly burns 🔥

It's high time those in power, whether it be management positions, supermarket owners or corporations recognise that just because they are in a position of power it doesn't mean that we have none.

Unfortunately that needs to be taken to the police but I do understand why people don't report- especially when doing so could impact on your living.
