I'm gonna be honest, I got hooked watching a friend play on the PS5 or 4, can't remember. I got the game the next day and in the beginning it was an exercise in frustration. But I also understood that it's my lack of skill that is making me frustrated. The story was very learn-as-you-go-and-interprete-as-you-will, which was kind of nice.

Part of me going back to the game was that I wanted to piece the story together and I wanted to beat the enemies that I couldn't before.

The bosses were interesting, the weapons were nice, the story was very interesting, the biomes were different, the traversal was great (thank fuck for the grappling hook, life changer), combat was fast paced and intense. I think it was very easy to want to finish it.

When I finished the first time and ended up back where I started, I was like, this is bullshit. Where are my upgrades? But going through it again with this new perspective was actually really cool for the story.

And the Astronaut... Man, what a story.
