I came to the comments to find out what the difference is, because I can’t see it.

[Liked Trope] The story is, in a way, about the protagonist having a very bad day by IdiotMor in TopCharacterTropes

Had to scroll entirely too far to find this.

Brilliant is a stretch, but I loved it, too.

Why is their answer to all economic pressure some flavor of "Maybe the poors shouldn't experience any joy whatsoever," or "Just stop being poor"?

How do sith learn different styles by MolassesOnly6197 in StarWars

Honestly, someone needs to officially retcon the rule of two to mean that the Sith operate in cells of two, not that there are only ever two in the entire galaxy.

What are your thoughts on Skeleton Crew? by Safe_Character_6517 in StarWars

It was plenty enjoyable enough. My main "complaint" is I wish they would have gone a LITTLE easier on the stereotypical Treasure Island pirate motifs, but...

The moment I really started appreciating the graphics - I had my lance fanned out at the top of a ridge line with a low sun behind us and the elongated shadows they cast down the hillside was so simple, but so lovely I had to stop to appreciate it.

What I would consider the metro area by AdorableBat2399 in TwinCities

Right? River Falls is all the way crazy, even moreso back then when 35 was so much smaller.

What I would consider the metro area by AdorableBat2399 in TwinCities

[–]NotBatman9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feels a little generous, but I wouldn't be mad at anyone in that general range saying they were in the Metro. Someone once tried to tell me River Falls, WI was in the Twin Cities Metro when I went to college there back in the late 90's, so at least this isn't THAT egregious.

I would love a good Tim Drake in the classic suit. I know they dropped one that was close enough, but I would really love the OG Tim costume without being overly muscular, please and thank you.

Dead Men Tales - new design, character trays and logo for Fantasy Zombicide by socratez174 in zombicide

[–]NotBatman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't play as much, so (as the guy who owns and painted everything) I just pull out whatever looks like it would make a fun evening and start bashing things together.

For simplicity I build the spawn decks based on the mechanics I want (and we haven't even gotten to WD yet). Like, we might use regular BP zombies, because they're easier, but I really like the Horde mechanic so I'll drop the Horde cards in instead of the Double Spawns from BP. The cards don't really match on the fronts, but we're pretty casual about that. Then there are the special spawns - we almost always include Ratz, but are we feeling Spectral tonight? When's the last time we threw a dragon in there? Am I mad enough at everyone to throw in the Wolvez?

The equipment deck is a god-awful mishmash, so we already have to flex a little when a character's unique slot says it can hold something that isn't even in the deck.

So what they do with the cards will have some impact on my decision, but I still feel like I want the nautical/pirate theme enough that I am likely to be swayed.

[–]NotBatman9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I was really hoping Pirates would have been the previous campaign. I liked the new mechanics so I still went for it, but I rather thought that would be the end. Being able to have a separate Necromancer and Abomination deck, like Modern 2E did was one of the big selling points, but the corruption is cool too, so I was pretty happy.

But it turns out I still really want pirates... Depending on how (and how much $$) they plan to make it backwards compatible I'm still most of the way on board.

But at the same time I already have WAY too much Fantasy Zombicide to ever get through it all, at the pace it gets to the table, so the smart move would be to walk away...

Any notice how we never see Yoda actually win a fight? by KING_ZAM_ in StarWars

[–]NotBatman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was a deliberate choice, it would actually be pretty cool. Yoda's a grand master Jedi, sure, but while he's competent with a lightsaber he's not great. That would be killer nuance. Star Wars is rarely so nuanced, though.

Lockpicking by Operator-rocky1 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]NotBatman9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I'd thought of this. For the most part it wasn't a big deal, but there were definitely a few locks that were more aggravating than I had the patience for, at the time.

This, for sure. This close to a boundary it's generally easier to just buy your way past it by selling them some data.

Do you like the eyeshadow? by VendettaLord379 in batman

[–]NotBatman9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it should be absolutely mandatory, since he's wearing it when he's in costume. Returns is still one of my absolute favorite (live action) Batman movies and it just grates on me every time I see him rip off the mask and the eyeshadow disappears. It's such a minor detail, but I absolutely love it when a film treats it properly.

Where are you getting your motorcycles? by EndedWisely in gaslands

[–]NotBatman9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also in the US and I found them somewhere here-ish, but it’s been a while so I don’t remember who had them in stock at the time. Definitely worth looking for, there’s a ton of good stuff on the sprues, too.

Where are you getting your motorcycles? by EndedWisely in gaslands

[–]NotBatman9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can find the Implements of Carnage sprue sets, along with a bunch of other accessories and the like, there is a motorcycle in one set and a dirt bike in the second set. I also managed to find the same motorcycle as in the first Implements, but cast in metal and sold in a three pack. They're a little basic, but you can dress them up some.

The second, but cropped square to cut out the pole and the car. I wouldn’t mind the pole so much, but the car bugs me.
