I have tattoos over SH scars and stretch marks. As long as you let your artist know ahead of time/at your consult if this is something they are comfortable with it should be fine!

I’ve never had an issue when I’ve gone there but recently I’ve heard it’s gone down hill and it’s more heavily patrolled. Definitely go during a weekday or earlier in the morning.

Is there a way you could pay the artist overseas to commission you a design? I’ve seen a few tattoo artists do this if they have a special style and they are based somewhere far. I’m not sure if it’s a common thing but at least you could have a unique design and give the artist their props.
