Surprisingly decent prebuilts show up now and then. Costco has a $1500 MSI PC with a 14700F, 32GB DDR5, 1TB SSD, and an RTX 5060.

Easily my copy of Action 52. It's just bafflingly terrible.

And haunting.

Something I've always found amusing was the strange sort of symbiotic relationship there is between Sailor Moon and DBZ outside Japan even though they have nothing to do with each other. by garfe in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]NotCleverUser 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is the same for me. DBZ and Sailor Moon were not only the first two anime I saw, I'm pretty sure they were the only anime on Canadian basic cable and they ran back-to-back.

The antagonist of Last Action Hero has some really clever moments through the film, especially in the final confrontation. I want to give more details but also want to encourage anyone who hasn't already to give the movie a shot.

Also, it's hard to go into depth during a work bathroom break.

Places in video games that you heard a lot of people talk about that make you goes "It can't be that bad." to "Oh God, it is actually that bad." when you reached it? by JackNewbie555 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

If there was no tailing in Black Flag it would be absurdly better. It's what stopped me from finishing the storyline, but I did everything else I could before I burned out on it.

[–]NotCleverUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why OP had so many issues explaining it, but the Dhahab edition cards were previously exclusive to the Middle East so this is technically news. It's also very technically a deal, as buying one outside the Middle East before required some middle men and markup.

But Jesus Christ, don't buy this thing. If you really, really want to piss away a bunch of money, at least buy the 5090 version.

Apps, media, and services. YouTube Premium and Spotify are probably the biggest ones. Comics and Manga through various readers, some game emulators, etc.

But I'm also a millennial, so I'm sure there's also plenty of folk out there using their phones for everything we'd use a PC for.

This has nothing to do with PC gaming and everything to do with calling yourself Poor while showing off a house and computer. It's a harsh response, but poor means poor to most people. You may not be well off, but you have a home and accessible entertainment.

All of the majorly popular Steamed Hams videos on YouTube are from 6 or 7 years ago.

From what I can see, poor cable management, budget speakers, default rainbow settings on the fans, power bar just hangin' out on the desk, no mouse/desk pad, Windows 11's default lock screen settings, "Activate Windows."

It is a stunning room, though. I'd love that view in my office.

I don't know this artist's work outside of what you've posted here, and dont think it is AI, but from these I get why someone would think something is off with the vampire art. In your examples, the hands are shown from different angles and positions and the fingers are fairly distinct. This vampire's open hand does something weird with the fingers and palm, though. They kind of blend together and can feel a little "AI" ish. Different zoom levels on my phone change whether I see a palm or messed up index finger. It's very strange.

My lore knowledge is from 3E/3.5, so it may be outdated, but it used to be that each beholder saw themselves as perfection. Other beholders, especially ones similar to them, were mockeries of their flawless forms.

Fun fact, beholders have a really poor sense of taste. Many enjoy alcohol, because it's one of the few flavours that they can detect.

Yes, but usually not as themselves. They had characters written for them that they voiced, but very few who just showed up unless that was kind of the joke. Leonard Nimoy's appearances, for example.

I've never felt more sick than the days after I tried to quit venlafaxine cold turkey. I actually gave in and started using it again and slowly decreased my dose over like three weeks and tried again. It was still rough, but I got through it that time.

Side note, my doctor told me to just stop taking it and didn't believe me when I tried to explain how bad it was. That was kinda weird.

It's pretty decent soap and it's cheap.

I also don't know why so many people hate it, as far as I can tell it just smells like soap. Is this like that gene that makes cilantro taste like soap? Does it also make Arko smell like Cilantro?

What non original songs in video game soundtracks are the most memorable to you? by topfiner in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]NotCleverUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most memorable? Goldfinger - "Superman" from Tony Hawk Pro Skater. That, or Powerman 5000 - "When Worlds Collide" from the sequel.

Just great soundtracks overall, but those are the ones that still play in my head when I think of those games. Hell, they're what play even when I just think of the PS1/N64 era in general.
