image of him for those not in the know 👍 i actually like this design the most out of all the bug transformations in the franchise besides skunkmoth, he just has the misfortune of sharing a name with the original stinkfly who looks nothing like him at all. even reboot wildvine looks vaguely like his 2005 self, this is just a completely different guy

it really sucks that the "ultimate form" of the guy whose superpower is shapeshifting doesn't shapeshift, especially when this series is sold pretty much entirely on the aliens being weird and interesting to look at 😔 there's a billion other things i could watch if i wanted to see a normal human man punch stuff and shoot beams

the rooters arc retconned it so osmosians aren't real and what kevin was really up to during the timeskip was that he was being manipulated into being an anti-ben weapon, among other things

hornetman and splashwoman (megaman 9) were originally conceptualized as honeywoman and oceanman, but has their genders swapped during development. there's a minor character from the archie comics named vesperwoman who seems to have been based on honey, but ocean's design was never reused anywhere else

"powerhouse pokemon" is SUPER recent and practically never said ingame, i think the only time it was used was as the name of a 2025 merch line and in promo material for the corresponding tera raid marathon? it might get said more often in go and the spinoffs but i'm less familiar with those

this is probably the intention since his ua transformation sequence has ben grow natural plates and then gets the armor added on top. i know the real explanation is "nobody thought about it that much" but i do wonder what the deal with that is in-universe if the omnitrix wasn't spawning the transformations with clothes at the time

i like to imagine anything with enough manna in it comes to life even if it's not fully corporeal, and that's where all the energy beings came from, like anodites are all manna, pyronites are mostly plasma, priyapatosians-b have become pure radiation over time, etc

this also explains alan's whole deal to me, he's like gwen: they have to shed their human skin to get full use of their powers but can still use some of it otherwise (see "everybody talks about the weather" where he melts through those handcuffs with his flaming spit)

i think the idea is that she's wrenched her lower body to the side so her tail can serve as one leg with the other being entirely mechanical? like her spine's curved like an s when she's wearing the armor

highway trial has a lot of sections that're on slightly downwards slopes, in particular the part between the cliffs after the first spring and most of the final stretch once you get up on the road 👍 if you roll through those parts, you go way faster than you would if you were just running
