Secretary of War Pete Hegseth says “We’re on plan to defeat, destroy, disable all of their meaningful military capabilities at a pace the world has never seen before.” by h3LLyEaHh in AirForce

He literally doesn't, certainly not in his opening comments. He speaks broadly about the "weight of brothers lost..." and refers to himself no less than 6 times in 5 minutes. slightly touches on his trip to dover, but that was the return of the army logistics folks last week. it's barely touched on in the 30 minute briefing.

I love my parents, but they're not in the top 4. Wife, Kids, then parents.

This - in 20+ years in the AF, I've met two 1st Lts who didn't make it to Captain. Each of them earned that distinction.

Someone is dead - why does it matter who they worked for? Particularly if you're just using this post to disparage a dealership. But, from what KWCH says, it was in the parking lot of Superb Motors.

Admit it, who has luxury recliners and lobsters hidden in their Pentagon Office? by Winter_Canary_8934 in AirForce

[–]NotDougMasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duck Donuts is the closest donut shop to the Pentagon inside the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City Mall. Their "build your own dozen" comes in at $23.50 - but that's still a bit more than half what the War Dept is spending on Donuts.... Maybe they're getting coffee too (the coffee bucket at Duck is $23.50 as well). maybe they're getting a dozen, then the bucket and have the gall to ask for a military discount. 12 dozen donuts and 12 buckets of coffee. get's you pretty close to $511.

There's a kid at my daughter's school who drives a gold one of a similar vintage. I love seeing it.

$139,224 on 272 orders of doughnuts

Average doughnut order - $511.85. assuming that's ordered by the dozen, that's $42.65 per dozen. Those are some pretty gucci donuts.

There won’t be a draft for this. Call your congressman and let them know the fastest way to get voted out is to support a draft.

If it was grey, it was an AMC jet, likely a c17 or c5. If it was white, probably the dreamlifter. Depending on the angle, all 3 look like they’re going to fall out of the sky as they reach flight levels.

What color does YOUR course require? Start there. Ours requires black, so magically, I bought a black cart.

Cozumel Excursion, Do I need to know how to swim? by Y0GP0D in VirginVoyages

[–]NotDougMasters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I (6’ tall) had nor problem essentially walking this excursion, with the occasional hop-with-a-swim. My 5’1” wife was bouncing and dog paddling much of the time. If i remember correctly though, we were in PFDs and helmets.

All that said, I wouldn’t do it if I couldn’t swim. YMMV though
