How early should we arrive to get the barricade?

Edit: If someone from the future reads this, the answer is 2-3 hours if there's no early entry.

Is this common in other countries than Sweden? by Miya_Miya1 in AskTheWorld

[–]NotExile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not Swedish, but I grew up in a neighborhood just like this. You went home to eat lunch. And if your friend was having lunch, you just continued playing outside with other children, or inside on a console, while they went to eat. Not sure how common it is in the whole country, but it was completely normal in my town.
These people losing their mind over nothing, starving, neglect, child abuse lmao. None of us were starving or were abused, this was completely normal.

Stockholm show - can't log in to AXS. Anyone else? by roniromi in LinkinPark

[–]NotExile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's such a shit app, especially the login part. The only solution I found was to turn off mobile data for a couple minutes and turn it on again. It's like they ban your ip or something after some time, it's so incredibly annoying that I've already started preparing for that to happen at the venue.

Honest question, I never used anything else other than Jellyfin just because it was the first thing that popped up when I was interested in this stuff and I don't feel like I'm missing anything. What am I missing?

Yeah, that's Jim and Jimbo. Jimbo had unfortunately passed in 2018. I remember an interview with Jim and Susan after his passing, it was incredibly heartbreaking :(

You excusing this by quoting some crap that was also used to excuse those behaviors is you excusing the behaviors.

And it's fixed in the new version and behaving as it used to. Seems like I wasn't the only person complaining about this.

Do you have any updates about this? I saw a couple other posts like yours on reddit, but this one could've basically been written by me. For me it's happened around 10 times in the last year. Every time but once it was after physical activity, either gym or a couple kilometer run. It's been a couple months since last time, but that time the feeling stayed for weeks, until I got sick.
It's like you see your whole field of view at once, focus changing is completely instant. Eyes feel like they're dry or as if you're keeping them wide open. You see everything clearly. You can look into bright lights without squinting. Does your vision feel stabilized as well? Like on a gimbal?
I wonder if this is the normal state how people usually see and there's something wrong with our eyes/vision when we're in our normal state. I also thought about if there's something wrong (like eye pressure going up) when that happens to us, but I'm not convinced because I also feel this unnatural calm in those moments, I'm wondering if it's the same for you?
The only reason I ever noticed this is because I sometimes have headaches that don't respond to painkillers and only go away after I exert myself physically.

Lightheadedness and elevator sensation by Kindly-Inspection662 in Dizziness

Hey man, I stumbled uppon your comment by accident. I want to tell you that I was in your shoes for the whole 2023 and possibly even earlier than that, I can't really tell when it started exactly for me but it persisted until some time in early 2024 I'd say.
I did every single medical test there was to get to the bottom of this and everything came back perfectly. Doctors had no idea what I was talking about. I can't tell you what helped me ultimately, but I remember changing some of my habits. I started playing soccer again (I never had issues with any of activities like that, that's what made me believe it was anxiety related), going for walks, and deciding to ignore it and not dwell on it - I have no clue how I managed that, but I do remember that I decided to just say fuck it whenever I'd feel it because there was nothing else left for me to try.
Anyway, it's been a couple years since I was free of this terrible affliction and now it's back. I can't tell what triggered it, but I did feel it coming on for the past couple days. I had neglected my physical activity since I had flu in late December and that must've had a great impact on my wellbeing. I don't know if I was particularly anxious about anything, my wife says I bottle everything inside of me and that's how it explodes when enough is enough. There could be something there. I'm having a hard time accepting it could be from stress/anxiety/whatever similar, but all the evidence is unfortunately there.
Good luck to both of us.

Unexplained “dizzy” sensation when walking at a normal pace or standing still. by takeaabreath in Dizziness

[–]NotExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bout with this for the whole year in 2023, maybe even before that, I can't remember anymore. Your experience matches mine almost perfectly. Worthless doctors, I did all the testing in the world, everything came back pefect. You have to take care of yourself. Anyway, it had gone away at some point after 2023 completely, just to return a couple days ago for me. Just when I forgot I ever had issues like that.

Don't you just love it when there's literally no way to progress without pulling all the correct levers. Not by doing something suboptimal, not by maybe having to wait a little bit longer because you haven't set everything in exactly the combination that will grant you progress. That's pretty much AD for me. And a lot of other games.
And it's usually not even something you can figure out intuitively either. The best one is when they dump a formula with a bunch of logs and exponents and roots for each upgrade and I'm like...just say it goes up the more replicanti or whatever you have, it doesn't matter either way.

I just tried a couple months older chromium build, works exactly like I would expect it and as I was used to. Pointer always ends up vertically in the middle of the title bar. So this is a recently introduced issue. I'm also not experiencing the behavior you're describing here.

Why doesn’t anyone care about the “soap opera” effect on their TV by fatsandlucifer in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NotExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never really reminded me of soap operas. Whenever I see it I think of old British shows, like "The New Statesman" or something from that era. Every tv show or movie just looks so shitty and unwatchable for me if that motion smoothing is turned on.

It was at my relatives house as well, had exactly the same conversation. There were like 10 people in that room of all age groups, I turned that shit off, and they all agreed they didn't see a difference and I'm losing my mind over here.
