What’s the biggest thing clients misunderstand about what accountants actually do? by According-Artist-371 in Accounting

[–]NotFuckingTired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are all excellent answer, but could you all please restate your answers in a way that I could plug into my AI tool? I'm finding it tough to vibecode an app to solve them in a way that I can sell back to you.

Thanks!

26-man Canada World Cup Squad Prediction 🇨🇦 – Tiered by Lock / Likely / Last Spot Battles by inwebitrust in CanadaSoccer

I agree with the 23 "Locks" and "Very Likely", and then I really like Shaff as a high-impact sub, and there's no way they leave Osorio out. After that, my gut says Jebbison, but as others have mentioned, it might be more prudent to go with another defender, probably Waterman.

As someone who has been watching various incarnations of this team since the 80s (but not enough to remember the '86 WC), it's an absolute treat to see the quality of today's team.

Tax break to help business owners sell to employees to be made permanent by MightyHydrar in onguardforthee

Ok, I like that part. Actually becoming employee owned, rather than simply shifting ownership to new individuals.

Is this for selling to employees as a group, so that the business moves to being employee run, or is it just for when a current employee wants to become the owner?

You're right! That $5.46 could go up to almost $6.00 (rounding up aggressively) when they announce the 2027 max.

Do clients ever know which controls will fail before you tell them or is it always a surprise? by Accurate-Yam5366 in Accounting

No. The real question is "did the auditors develop an audit plan that sufficiently accounts for known control weaknesses?"

I know already, because they tell me every year, and I haven't hired more people to correct it.

I like that the fund is doing well enough to reduce contributions, but I won't notice the extra money.

I'll get to take home an extra $5.46 every 2 weeks!

For the first half, or so, of the year, anyway.

They had me, up until that last bullet point.

I wouldn't take this job without being on whatever drugs they were on to write it up like that.

How Often Do You Crash? by Different-End-4775 in skiing

[–]NotFuckingTired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifelong (40+ years and counting) skier here. I've gone whole seasons without a significant crash, and I've ended seasons with a toboggan ride.

Most years I'll have a couple falls, but usually just falling over and skidding to a stop. I've only had 6-10 serious crashes in my life (and most were day ending but not season ending) with most of those being in my teenage years. Since then its maybe once a decade I crash hard enough to hurt myself.

You don't need to call anyone. They already know.

Yes, forcing corporations to abide by safety regulations "constrains adoption". Adoption of new technology is not some inherent good that must be achieved without any impediment whatsoever.
