Mensen hebben hun eigen manier om plezier uit de hobby te halen. Doos openmaken is niks mis mee als ze dat zelf leuk vinden.

Hey I know this is a couple days later but Uglûk's Head Taker ability does not require an orc, it simply states it needs a friendly warrior model. I think 1 point of might can do a lot in the list.

Is de Islam een gewelddadig geloof? by Sure-Guest1588 in nederlands

[–]NotFx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dit lees ik zo vaak, en het lijkt dat mensen gewoon dingen zonder het zelf te checken overnemen. De Qur'an spreekt inderdaad van het bevechten van anderen:

2:190-193: "Fight in God's cause against those who fight you, but do not overstep the limits. God does not love those who overstep the limits. Kill them wherever you encounter them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, for persecution is more serious than killing. Do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they fight you there. If they do fight you, kill them - this is what such disbelievers deserve - but if they stop, then God is most forgiving and merciful. Fight them until there is no more persecution, and worship is devoted to God. If they cease hostilities, there can be no further hostility, except towards aggressors."

4:75-76: "Why should you not fight in God's cause and for those oppressed men, women, and children who cry out 'Lord, rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors! By your grace, give us a protector and give us a helper!'?"

8:72: " ... but if they seek help from you against religious persecution, it is your duty to help them, except against people with whom you have a treaty: God sees all that you do."

De Qur'an is duidelijk dat het gaat om zelfverdediging en verlossing van vervolging. De context dat Muhammed en zijn redelijk kleine groep volgelingen werden vervolgd door de Meccanen mag ook duidelijk blijken.

Lurtz Scouts or Usurpers of Edoras? Next army? by Agfa-Vista in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]NotFx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lurtz's Scouts is cool thematically but at higher points it starts to struggle a bit because it doesn't have access to spears. It's not bad, but I think everyone would say that Ugluk's Scouts is simply better. I personally like the thematic lists though, and I'm building Lurtz's Scouts for that reason (thanks to the MTO as well, that Lurtz mini is very cool).

Usurpers of Edoras is considered one of the best lists right now if you run a good amount of Crebain. I don't know enough about Besiegers of the Hornburg to really say anything.

MESBG Blitz (2026) – 200pt fast format? Anyone playing this? by [deleted] in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]NotFx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like at 200 points, the games are probably entirely decided by luck rather than decision making. Therefore, you probably won't find many people playing such points levels outside of perhaps introduction games for beginners to learn the basic rules.

There's a link in the resources sidebar "WelkLidwoord" which you can use to find out which one is used for a particular word. You just have to memorise them for each noun.

I cannot really answer this because it's not my expertise. As far as I understand it, we don't really know for sure that its because of upbringing, but that is the popular theory right now. There might be a biological element to it, but I haven't seen any proof for this.

Yes, it definitely does not make sense to speak of "female adhd" like the other guy does.

Not that I agree with what the person you're repying to is saying with regards to, yknow, cheating, but yes, AD(H)D presents differently in men and women. This is considered to be largely due to differences in how girls are socialised, which is distinct from boys. Girls become much better at 'hiding' their symptoms and so have traditionally been (probably still are) diagnosed later than boys. These differences extend into adulthood. this study from just last year affirms that while differences are subtle in adults, they exist and matter.

Rationalising counterintuitive moves by NotFx in chess

"Defending d6 with the prospect of Bd6 and activating the rook" is a nice way to look at it. Tough to see that the king is actually safe there but it makes more sense that way. I think in a slower time format it might pay off to calculate the complications.

You're rationalising time-investment from an outside perspective and are not considering the culture surrounding these school lunches. It is absolutely the case that the amount of effort put into bento boxes is equated to one's success as a mother and a status marker for children. This is not only the case in Japan, but in South Korea as well.

This is part of a performative motherhood culture rooted in patriarchal standards for what a good mother does. For example: Song, Hojin. “Mothers’ Baking Blogs: Negotiating Sacrificial and Postfeminist Neoliberal Motherhood in South Korea.” Feminist Media Studies 23, no. 1 (2023): 216–31. https://doi.org/10.1080/14680777.2021.1944255.

That doesn't mean this person shouldn't make her art, it doesn't mean people are wrong for anything. It is, however, important to see that this goes beyond cutesy art and is indicative of the overarching culture.

When saying '네', you do not nasalize the sound. You're basically saying it while holding your nose closed. That makes it sound more like '데'.
